So I'm sitting at the 1.02 slot and debating my pick. Generally I've been assuming Charles will be the first pick, and I'll take either ADP, Forte, or McCoy with the 1.02. Lately though I've been considering Megatron with the pick as our league may be setup well for an upside down strategy. An interesting article on this site about Megatron at the 1.02 pick in a PPR made me want to look further into this option.
The league is a 10-team PPR league, with 3 points for a passing TD, 6 points for all other TDs. Rest of the scoring is pretty standard fare. Our starting requirements are a little different:
1 - QB
1 - RB
3 - WR (TE included)
1 - Flex QB/RB/WR/TE
1 - Flex RB/WR/TE
1 - K
1 - DEF
I'm targeting a team that starts two QBs every week while my second flex will either be my 2nd RB or 4th WR/TE.
The league generally drafts fairly balanced despite the 2-QB option. Essentially there isn't a huge run on QBs in the first three rounds as usually there should be around 7 or so taken in that timeframe.
How would you attack this draft? Get the top-RB while you can, or get the top-WR and fill the RB slots a few rounds later in an upside-down format?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
