yeah that's right...

the 1967 Packers who won Super Bowl I, coached by the great Lombardi himself against the 2007 Miami Dolphins who suck but are probably an average of 20 lbs. bigger per player and the game has evolved to favor them...

who wins????

If you've seen the fashion in which the Dolphins have been losing games, it's clear the Packers are the only option.

Btw - what year's rules are you using?

today's rules...the game has surpased the packers of oldand they were very smallI know the Dolphins suck but come on guys...

The Packers and it's not even close.

The Pack would be a well oiled machine with all 11 players doing their job, every play. Sure everybody would be undersized, but they would be the meanest, toughest SOB's on the field. No bling, fans with mist, no Gatorade.

Pack 21

Nancy Boys 7

That's what I figured... kind of across the street. I guess it's close enough to "stumble" home drunk.

So the 67 Packers don't get the benefit of modern day training, a crash course on modern coaching tendencies, and a case of HGH?Fair enough. Then the 07 Phins haven't been born yet.1967 Pack 2342007 Phins 0I know this might be hard for people to believe, but humans haven't changed all that much in several thousand years, there are just more of us.

Maybe not, but the quality of athlete has in the last 40. This game would be a blowout, and the Packers would be on the receiving end of a red bummy.

Race is a huge factor. While there were some black players back then, there were plenty of black athletes who were superior to most players in the NFL but were not playing due to their race. You think Max Mcgee would be good enough to play in the NFL today? He wouldnt be good enough for the CFL,fact is, todays game features the best of the best, that wasnt even close to the case 40 years ago.

Dude, football(and all sports for that matter) simply weren't as big back then. For one, they didn't make a ton of money, so a lot less people tried to get into it. Its simply common sense that when you have more people trying to get great at something that the result is having more people great at it. Furthermore, players didn't train year round like they do today and many even had second jobs. And they didn't begin training as young as they do today or with such good coaching at all levels of a player's development. They used to not give their players as much water as they wanted during practices because they thought that was "babying" them....seriously, think about that. Our sports science has come sooooooooooooooo far since then.I think that an average DIII football team of today could beat those Packers. It isn't close.

Dolphins and its not even close. The players are in much better condition than they were in 67. They train all year long. They get more reps, more study. They are better educated. The 67 Packers would hang with the 07 Dolphins in the first half, but in the second half they would just be worn out trying to keep up with today's athlete. Football is chess on grass and the Dolphins would be infinitely better prepared. It is also a game of conditioning and the Packers just don't measure to today's standards.

Packers would have no shot.

Really? Jim Taylor FB 6ft 214 lbs

Forrest Greg 6'4'' 249 lbs

Bart Starr 6'1'' 197 lbs

Ray Nitschke 6'3'' 235 lbs

Herb Adderley 6'1'' 205 lbs

Willie Davis 6'3'' 240 lbs

Henry Jordan 6'2'' 248 lbs

Willie Wood 5'10'' 175 lbs

And this is just the HOFer's
Forrest Gregg was an offensive lineman at 249. Henry Jordan was a defensive tackle at 248. Willie Davis was a defensive end at 240.You really think you can control the line of scrimmage against a modern football team with those guys anchoring your lines?

No they wouldnt.

Given that most of the Packers are either dead or in a rest home, the 2007 Dolphins would win a game played today.

In the fantasy neutral-everything game, Packers win going away. You forget Cam Cameron is still coaching the Dolphins and John Beck is still your QB. Bart Starr and company are still in their prime for the Pack.

HTH.

You cant truly belive this. You could coach and i could QB for the Dolphins, and they would still destroy the Pckers.

Lombardi was one of the, if not THE best coach of his time.Cameron is one of the worst coaches of his time.

If you give Cameron a time machine and send him back to 1967, he is easily the best coach in the league.

Alexander Graham Bell invented the phone, but i would be better suited to repair a phone today. I think you get the point, and if you dont, all the explaing in the world isnt going to help you.

:lmao: Most of us today repair a phone by throwing it out and going to Wal-Mart to buy a new one. I think you would hard-pressed to invent a telephone with the materials available in 1876.

I dont have to use the materials from 1876, i get to use the ones from today. Just as Cameron gets to use his materisl(ie. the Dolphins).Of course using myself as an example was sarcasm, if you want to be more literal replace me with the 32nd best telephone repairman from today.

you sound RACIST.... why does white mean anything?? or black for that matter???? wood was black and worth"half a damn"..so was davis.. whats your beef???.. 67 packers with the way they were coached would eat you and your 07 dolphins for midday snack.. game would resemble the old school game between packers and all stars from college... ya know... i bet those college all stars from the 60's could beat this 07 dolphins team..

The '67 Packers could not score on any NFL defense. I would venture to say, a good college team would dominate the Pack.
