[1st round picks] Signing before the draft (1 Viewer)

I recall somebody else (in the recent past) also signed the 1.01 pick the night of the draft, but I don't remember what happen in regards to other rookies signing their contract.

I suspect this will speed up the process and most rookies will get into camp (on average) earlier than in normal years.

I suspect this will speed up the process and most rookies will get into camp (on average) earlier than in normal years.

Although that may be correct in some regards, wouldn't the contract not be based on the prior year and not necessarily grading them againt the 1st pick of the draft.The 22nd pick will be contrasted against last year's 22nd pick with the % hike in the salary cap, and not compared versus the #1 pick.
