2 QBlleague draft strategy? (1 Viewer)

12 team, standard scoring ie 3pts pass td, 6pts rest, 1pt per 25 yds passing and 1pt per 10 yds rush rec. Start 1 QB, 3 RB, 2 WR, TE, K 1 flex (rb,wr,te) 1 wild card (qb,rb,wr,te,k) The obvious play is to start 2 QB's. Now does this make picking a QB early in round 1 etc a viable strategy or is it better to wait and take a rb in round one and hope a top 10 qb falls to you in the second round? Any thoughts on drafting strategy in this type of league?

With 12 teams, you will absolutely need to pick a QB soon. I'd take Vick in the first round and Rodgers in the 2nd.

with passing Td only 3 pts, I wouldn't say the flex has to be a QB...With 3 RBs required, I would draft RBs early and wait on QB.

EDIT: Nevermind I just noticed you aren't forced to start 2 QB's. So your draft will probably not turn out like mine did. This could still help someone who is in a Start 2 QB not flex league.

Unless no one in your league realizes the extreme shortage of QB's DO NOT WAIT TO GET QB'S.

I will tell you how my draft went because I was not prepared for how fast QB's would get drafted.

In my 12 team 2 QB league with .5 ppr my strategy going in was to get a top 5 QB with my first pick and then get a value QB later. Not happening with the 12th pick. I had the chance to take Tony Romo or Peyton Manning in the first. I picked Chris Johnson and Calvin Johnson instead. I thought hey maybe I can get Roethlisberger or Stafford in the 3rd. If I could do it again, after seeing how fast the rest of the QB's went, I would have taken Romo instead of Calvin Johnson.

The top 5 QB's went off the board in the first 6 picks then 7 more QB's went in rounds 2 and 3 before my 3rd round pick. I drafted Bradford with pick 3.12.

A bunch more QB's go and I'm there with my 5th and 6th picks looking at Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jason Campbell and it gets worse from there. I had to pass on Mike Williams (TB) and take Ryan Fitzpatrick as my second starting QB with 6.1. One guy didn't draft a QB until the 7th round and his starters are Donovan McNabb and Chad Henne and he has no backup. People started taking backup QB's in the 8th drafting Colt McCoy and Matt Hasselbeck.
