RB-RB-RB strategery (1 Viewer)

I went RB-RB with my first two picks:

1.2 Bijan Robinson
2.11 Chase Brown

Top 9 WR are gone. Am I crazy to consider James Cook here instead of a McConkey/AJ Brown/JSN/Adams?

PPR QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR with 2 RB/WR flex.

Had Cook last year and just loved his usage plus the TDs. Waiting on a WR too risky or nah? Maybe belongs in the other forum as too specific or maybe here as a general 3RB start strategy.
Not terrible, but I would take McConkey or AJ Brown over Cook.....easily. You have two really good backs and to get a top 10-12 WR with the 3.2 is a gift in my eyes. You are looking at a WR1 with the 47 pick. Given PPR and you can start 5 WRs, WRs will fly off the board. They do in the FBG Bowl drafts which use the exact same format. In my FBG bowl draft, 23 WRs were taken before pick 47. You're looking at players like Tetairoa McMillan or George Pickens as your WR1. I don't like that when you have to start 3WRs and maybe 4 in your case.

Need a QB, TE, and a flex in that next cluster of picks and then fill out the bench rest of the way.
I know it's too late but I would again say trying to force a position is not a good approach. If there is a QB or TE that falls there that you think is the end of a tier and based on the other teams positional situation dictate you take the QB/TE then do so. But I would look to force a QB because I need a QB to fill out my lineup right now. Especially at QB the QB10-20 are pretty interchangeable. So unless you have a guy that is just so much higher ranked than the next 5 or 6 guys no need to pass on RB/WR values in those rounds.

1.2 RB Bijan Robinson
2.11 RB Chase Brown
3.2 RB James Cook
4.9 WR Mike Evans
5.2 WR Xavier Worthy
6.11 WR DeVonta Smith
8.9 TE Tucker Kraft
8.11 QB Jared Goff
9.2 RB Kaleb Johnson
10.11
11.2
12.11
13.2
14.11
15.2
16.11

Maybe should have taken Bo Nix instead of Goff. TE seemed a crapshoot too. Figured RB upside at 9.2 was better than average WR options. Debated between Kaleb, Charbonnet, JCM, and Judkins. Have JCM and Judkins in my other league so why not try a share of Kaleb.

Now it's just BPA to fill my 7 bench spots. (No K or DT)
Your team looks good overall, but for me—I would have far preferred to have gone with either an elite qb (Allen or Lamar), an elite TE (Kittle) in the third. I’d much rather have an elite weekly starting qb or te—being that you are already elite in the RB department with those first two picks—WR is really deep this year. I think there will be positional scarcity in elite qbs, elite te’s and elite rb’s this season However, i think that the “turnover” for elite qb’s/te’s is not nearly that of running backs. Throughout the course of the season—there will be mid/later round running backs that have moments where they are really good. I think Goff is maybe a top 8-12 fantasy qb. If you did go Kittle in the 3rd, I would have went with Nix over Goff. In a 12 team league—that means that more likely than not, you’re probably going to be losing that position week to week. I think the same for kraft. He’ll be capable of having big moments—but a guy like Kittle is going to put you in a place to where you are likely to be net positive at the TE position week to week.
