2006 Consensus RB Rankings (1 Viewer)

Nice job guys. Where do you think LenDale White would be ranked? I see Reggie Bush and DeAngelo Williams ranked by some people.

1st Tier:

1 LaDanian Tomlinson

2 Larry Johnson

3 Shawn Alexander

2nd Tier:

4 Clinton Portis

5 Ronnie Brown (I would take him this early if Ricky out the year)

6 LaMont Jordan

7 Rudi Johnson

8 Edgerrin James (reflects Arizona)

9 Carnell Williams

10 Willis McGahee

11 Tiki Barber (age discount)

3rd Tier:

11 Steven Jackson (can he stay healthy?)

12 Deuce McAllister

14 Jamal Lewis (assume franchised by Baltimore)

15 Reggie Bush (higher if not splitting time on Texans)

16 LenDale White (ranking depends greatly on team; this reflects Patriots)

4th Tier (risk increases with all these guys):

17 Rueben Droughns (not flashy but productive)

18 Brian Westbrook (status post foot injury?)

20 Willie Parker (3rd down back or more?)

21 Julius Jones (competition)

22 Thomas Jones (competition)

23 Warrick Dunn (new team?)

24 Kevin Jones (looked so bad in 05; 4th tier until proven otherwise)

25 DeAngelo Williams

26 Chris Brown

27 Domanick Davis

28 Travis Henry

Am I missing anyone?

Panthers are going to re-sign Deshaun Foster and he will be top 20 material ...
The guy has missed 31 games in his 4 year career and that is without ever really being the feature RB. Carolina would be crazy to give Foster a feature role and expect him him to say healthy for a full season.Foster wil always be splitting time and thus I dont see him in the Top 20....especially since he is oft-injured.

Rough draft..

1. Ladainian Tomlinson

2. Larry Johnson-o-line in tact

3. Shaun Alexander-seems like he'll leave Seattle. Could go down.

10. Steven Jackson

11. Cadillac Williams

13. Brian Westbrook

14. Jamal Lewis-could find very favorable situation.

15. Deangelo Williams-could go down depending on team...i'm assuimg Arizona.

Interesting list, but I think its premature to do these rankings until we know more about who plays on what team.(easier to be a critic than put out my rankings....I know, but its too early to know about guys like Bush, Indy RB, CTaylor, McAllister, A.Green, etc. until we they go into camp and we have more to go on)

You raise a very good point. I decided to include Bush because everything seems to be pointing to him being drafted by Houston. I probably have him higher than most but my reasoning is that every comparison I've read says he has Marshall Faulk like talent. The idea of Marshall Faulk playing in the Denver offensive scheme makes me drool. Now the Texans line is not as good as Denver's but they have pretty consistently put up good rushing numbers.
