I believe Travis Henry & Ahman Green will find work somewhere, but will be relegated to backup roles.

I also believe Cedric Benson and Chris Perry will be backups for another year.
I disagree with your opinion about Benson and Perry being merely backups especiay when compared to palayers like Suggs who you have sharing with drougns.Than I compare that with your disreagard for Ahman Greens talents and to a lesser extent Henry's.

I think Ahman Green is better than 50% of current options at rb for teams.

However you raise some interesting possibilities that could happen.

I like the combination of both lists presented on this tread. Good job guys. With dynasty draft coming up it serves as a nice guide. I comprised a list of both the first one for depth you need with all the injuries and the second one for rookie, FA, and trade projections.

Football guys needs to get dynasty draft ranks up for 2006.

My top RB'S in this order not necessary Dynasty but 2006 fantasy points potentional.

1. L. Johnson (don't think Priest is coming back!)

2. S. Alexander (99% sure he stays in Seattle)

3. L. Tomilson (probably safest first pick but he has never been my 1 and never merited it either!)

4. E. James (could drop depending on where he signs but if it is JV he should be able to hold this rank and he held his 3 rank well last year!

5. L. Jordon (Great bargin last year and should only improve! I DOMINATED and won both leagues I had him as my RB 2! Could not beleive he made it into second round! Strength of schedule can't be as bad as it was last year!

6. T. Barber (Always out performs his rank.) And always is under valued. Has won me many Championships over the years getting him as a bargin at RB 2 or worst in years past!

7. S. Jackson (Should improve again now Martz is gone and Marshall is less in the picture! )

8. C. Portis (I list him here because he is one of safest picks at his time)

9. J. Jones (I had him 5th last year. One of my few busts over the years but still lots of time to prove me right if he can stay healthy!

10.C. Williams (Like Julious showed signs of top 10 status. Needs to stay healthy!

11.R. Brown (Potentional to be a top 5 back now Smoke a dope RIKI has struck again!

12. K. Jones DET (A complete bust last year in my top 12 but with a coaching over haul he gets one more chance from me! )

I never throw a rookie in my top 12. Bush over rated in my opinion. My guts say some of the lesser hyped backs like his teammate White perhaps will be the best rookie this year. Besides Bush will be Dominicks back up most likly!

Once again, Rudi will be a steal. A top 10 RB with top 5 potential...he just produces.

Can't see Edge holding that ranking outside of Indy. In Jacksonville, he wouldn;t get the yards he got in Indy or the TDs either since they'd probably continue to use Jones at the goalline.

I'll take a stab....(backups in parenthesis)...players on new teams in bold

Arizona: Jamal Lewis (JJ Arrington)

Atlanta: Warrick Dunn (TJ Duckett)

Baltimore: Chestor Taylor (DeAngelo Williams)

Buffalo: Willis McGahee (Shaud Williams)

Carolina: DeShaun Foster (Nick Goings)

Chicago: Thomas Jones (Cedric Benson)

Cincinatti: Rudi Johnson (Chris Perry)

Cleveland: Reuben Droughns (Lee Suggs)

Dallas: Julius Jones (Marion Barber)

Denver: Tatum Bell (Ron Dayne)

Detroit: Kevin Jones (Mike Anderson)

Green Bay: Samkon Gado (Ahman Green)

Houston: Domanick Davis (Reggie Bush)

Indianapolis: Maurice Morris (Laurence Maroney)

Jacksonville: Edgerrin James (Fred Taylor)

Kansas City: Larry Johnson (Dee Brown)

Miami: Ronnie Brown (Michael Bennett)

Minnesota: LenDale White (Mewelde Moore)

New England: Corey Dillon (Kevin Faulk)

New Orleans: Deuce McAllister (Antowain Smith)

New York Giants: Tiki Barber (Brandon Jacobs)

New York Jets: Curtis Martin/Cedric Houston/Derrick Blaylock

Oakland: LaMont Jordan (Justin Fargas)

Philadelphia: Brian Westbrook (Najeh Davenport)

Pittsburgh: Willie Parker/Duce Staley (Verron Haynes)

San Diego: LaDanian Tomlinson (Michael Turner)

San Francisco: Kevan Barlow (Frank Gore... will start eventually)

Seattle: Shaun Alexander (Josh Scobey?)

St. Louis: Stephen Jackson (Marshall Faulk)

Tampa Bay: Cadillac Williams (Michael Pittman)

Tennessee: Chris Brown/Travis Henry (Jarrett Payton)

Washington: Clinton Portis (Ladell Betts)

I think Priest Holmes will retire, and Ricky Williams will be nowhere to be found. I also think Denver, Pitt, NE, Philly will all be likely to take a RB in the early rounds.

Ravens interested in Edge?

The Ravens have begun contract negotiations with Jamal Lewis and Chester Taylor, their two leading rushers who officially become free agents today.

If the team can't make any progress with either of them, a league source said, the Ravens are prepared to pursue Edgerrin James, the top running back available, sometime next week. James, a vital cog in the Indianapolis Colts' high-powered offense, would likely command a more lucrative deal than Lewis.

Chester Taylor to Minny. Ahead of Moore. (Moore 3rd down back)

Lewis stays home??

That leaves Arizonia still in running for James and Bennett.

Philly signing M. Anderson? That should knock out Davenport.

Little news on Davenport. He's a mystery to me where he will end up.

fruiity pepples. here's some facts I added up on Edge if he's in Jacksonville. Jacksonvilles entire RB committee of 4 had the same fantasy points combined as Edge had in Indy . Keep in mind Indy surprisingly ran more early and played conservitive then was expected leaning on Edge instead of Peyton. But to offset that Edge didn't play much last two weeks. So it's very possible Edge could have same fantasy inpact at Jacksonville as he had at Indy if indeed he carries the majority of the load at Jacksonville.

Added C. Taylor to MIN and made him bold. It can still be an RBBC but for nnow I'm assuming they signed him to be the starter.

Things a re starting to sort out a bit... sort of. I added James to Arizona and M. Anderson to Baltimore. For now, though, I am bolding Jamal until I hear the way things sort out there. Will they be playing Anderson at FB now?
