I'm at the Team Defense portion of my study comparing the 2006 Prediction Dominator predictions to actual points scored and I've run into a quandry. I can't get accurate calculations.
The PD 2006 actuals don't include TD's scored by the Defense. Does anybody know where I can find those?
Also, from the Rankings page on the FBG's website, the Team D scoring is ranked based on the following parameters:
6 points per touchdown scored, 2 points per safety
2 points per turnover
1 point per sack
But the predictions files include yards and points allowed for the entire season. Obviously I can divide those by 16 to get PPG values, but I'm trying to determine a proper means by which to calculate the impact of Total Yards and PA on Fantasy Football points and I can't find a standard. I can't get my calculations to match up with PD or figure out how they take season totals for PA and YA into consideration.
Does anybody have any ideas/suggestions for a generic model for calculating Team D Fantasy Football points?
Thanks,
Joel
