Surprised no Droughns, Turner, Curry, Welker, Meachem, AGonzalez, Furrey, or Scheffler Spotlights. All can be valuable late round flyers.

Droughns was put to a vote by staff, and the "Nays" had it :thumbup:Michael Turner really wouldn't make a good Spotlight because with a healthy LT = no real redraft value, without a healthy LT = stud. I don't think too many people will disagree with thatIt's very difficult to discuss WR3s by themselves, certainly in the context of WR2/WR3 committees, some of these guys make some sense, but...*** Welker = WR3 (at best) on a team with arguably the most weapons in the NFL*** Curry = just part of a broader mess in OAK*** Anthony Gonzalez = a rookie that many assume will be WR3, but hardly a lock*** Meachem = an injured rookie that faces a daunting task at contributing in the early going*** Furrey = nice story last year, but with Roy and Calvin in the house, he's WR3 at best*** Scheffler = he would've been the next TE to make the cutDepending on scheduling and responses, I may green light Welker, Furrey, Scheffler and Curry...let's see how the next week or two shape up.

What a joke. Tarvaris Jackson, Charlie Frye, Brady Quinn but not Joey Harrington?
Hey Cha-Ching...we wrote more than 140 detailed Player Spotlights on offensive players this year (and a bunch of IDP guys, as well), which was a four month process. As you can imagine, scheduling that many individual writeups and articles is no easy feat, because much of the planning has to occur long before the preseason and training camps get underway. For example, Mike Vick had a Spotlight thread BUT you'll notice we didn't publish a final article for obvious reasons. When we did drew up the schedule Joey Harrington wasn't a relevant fantasy option, whereas Tarvaris and Frye/Quinn most certainly were projected NFL starters. Ideally we would cover every player of relevance for 10- and 12-team redrafts but injury, circumstance and surprises are going to make that all but impossible.

I'm sorry we didn't write up Harrington in detail, but I will say that I'm really proud of the staff for putting out 140+ of these writeups. If there's any other fantasy site that comes close to that level of detail on a player by player basis, I've not heard of it.

For the record, we do give detailed player projections for every NFL team, and the Joey Harrington player page features:

*** Five sets of projections for Harrington (Dodds, Henry, Smith, Wood, Tremblay)

*** I currently have him with 2,960 passing yards, 16 TDs, 20 INTs, 18 rushes, 65 yards and 1 rushing TD

*** We also have Positives, Negatives and Outlook writeups on him

*** On the blog, Mark Wimer and I have squared off a bit on Harrington's outlook to boot:

*** My Post: http://blog.footballguys.com/2007/07/25/jo...asy-armageddon/

*** Mark's Post: http://blog.footballguys.com/2007/07/24/jo...antasy-outlook/
