Choice is an interesting prospect. He looks like he could be a player at the next level, but the first round is probably a stretch unless he really puts on a show at the combine. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on him throughout the draft process though.
I've gone from just not seeing much there and arguing so at length with Construx, who runs his fan club; to agreeing Construx is right and I was quite wrong. Choice is the best senior RB by a good margin. He's very complete.I'm always willing to admit I have a guy wrong and the sooner the better, imo.
Choice is an extreme hot head and puts Chris Henry to shame.
Say wha? Care to unpack that? Choice is an extremely bright kid, an honor's student for four straight years, and along with some kicker just won some ACC academic student athlete award. He is a great student of the game and very tough guy. 30 carries for 140 on a very painful wheel against Clemson. Just pounded Miami running over Kenny Phillips three times and right through Campbell on one of them. 37 carries and 200 plus against a D loaded with NFL talent, and he was still gimpy from the nagging injuries. He has Mike Hart's heart with NFL juice. He's also an incredible team leader.

I thought Choice had a very good junior and senior year at Ga Tech, not sure why so many are down on him.

I love the mock because it IS different and not the general group-think that some mocks turn in to.
Group think is one thing, dude, but stuff like this about the Steelers:"The line can pass protect well..."....may make one think that he stayed a bit too long in the sun. :goodposting: The Steelers' pass blocking was horrific a lot of the time last season. Sean Mahan was a turnstile at the pivot and Colon(and Smith, for that matter) both had lapses where they weren't much better pass blocking. Roethlisberger got knocked around like a tomato can for a lot of the year. Although, I personally do dig(and have espoused) the idea of a guy like a Balmer in round one for Pitty if the OT prospect they like isn't available. Youth in the front 7 is certainly 1b on the list of areas that need addressed for the Steelers.

I watched Tashard Choice from the Georgia Tech sideline when they played Miami and he was a freakin' beast. I'm not saying he's a first rounder but he is a hell of a runner.

However, he lost me with Matt Ryan going 13th overall. There is no way that whoever gets tabbed as the top QB in the draft lasts until the 13th pick.

:lmao: Patently obvious to even a casual observer of the Steeler offensive line was how they had breakdowns in pass protection.

With Winfield, Griffin, and McCauley lined up, I would be shocked if the Vikes drafted a corner.
What do you expect the Vikes to do?
I would expect DE but if Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie character is the best player available I am all for it.
I would think their target is the BPA at DE or safety. Just like I had a preference for AP last year, I like another Oklahoma product - Reggie Smith. He can either play corner or replace Dwight Smith.Everyone likes to mock Derrick Harvey to the Vikes and I guess that's not a bad pick either.

It's not so much the logic of his draft that I take issue with, it's the blatant errors in it. If someone is hard and loose with facts for one thing, how much is he/she spending on his actual analysis?
