Hiya.

We are hosting the 2009 Shark Pool Survivor Contest here. This season we began with 583 entries. Now, 43 remain active. It is December and the field will quickly whittle down. (Or maybe not)

The contest rules are very, very simple.

1. One entry per user name. To edit a selection, make a *correction* posting.

2. Select a NFL winner each week without duplicating the selection for the 2009 season. The weekly deadline is the team's kickoff.

3. Correct selections advance to the next week.

4. Enjoy.

Just for fun, based on TC's notes, the following is the ranking of teams that eliminated people (that is they picked this team and then lost):

4) Pitt 39

5) Philly 35

6) Jets 26

7) Tennessee 17

8) Houston 13

9t) Arizona 12

9t) Carolina 12

11) Denver 7

Interesting. With their wins over the Eagles, Bengals and Steelers, I would've thought the Raiders would be the biggest eliminator, but they still trail behind the Bengals due to that second-week bloodshed.

Used: BAL; WAS; PHI; SF; NYG; PIT; IND; SD; ATL; MIN; NO; CIN; CHI - Edited to correctly reflect used picks, I copied the wrong line off TC's weekly report.

Haven't figured out the opposite (that is what teams have kicked the most entries out by winning). To be clear, my list is the team that the person selected and then lost. You're right that I think the Bengals win over the Packers probably puts 'em in the lead in that regard. I'll try and figure it out at some point :lmao: -QG

Used BAL, MINNY, PHILLY, NYG, PITTS, GB, INDY, SD, ATL, NO, NE, CIN, CAR

Sorry... have to stick with the masses.

Week 14 - Tennessee

***CORRECTION***

Used: SEA WAS BAL HOU NYG GB IND CHI ATL MIN NO DAL CIN

Week 14: Pittsburgh Steelers

I think this has now reached the point where even though Ten is the "safer" play, Pitt is more +EV overall.

So the Brownies thin the herd by 6.

Curious what the record is as far as posties who switched their pick -- doesn't seem too good.

I got away with a switch, but did the switch right away and deleted the evidence, so maybe that spared me I guess

Awesome logic on display here. :pickle: Thanks for running this as always TC.
