2010 3 round Mock draft Version 3 (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
Again - I only do this to stay up to date on the prospects and simply because I enjoy the puzzle. I wouldn't post them but the feedback helps me get a better idea of what is needed by teams and the way that their fan base might be looking. Critique away but remember I am not trying to be a pro. So to the Mock

1.1 - Rams – Sam Bradford – QB. I have to admit, someone on footballguys.com told me over a month ago that Bradford would be the pick and I totally blew him off. Looks like I owe him an apology. I didn’t see it but the logic of it all does make sense. The Rams cannot invest this kind of money into another guy on the DLINE, and not when there is so much depth at the position in this draft and its not the biggest need on their team.

1.2 - Lions – Russell Okung – Lions are able to improve at LT and at LG with this pick. With a Franchise QB and Franchise WR, the only thing missing is a Franchise LT. Its like having all some really nice power tools and leaving them sit outside to get rained on and beat up by the weather. Okung is the only pick for Detroit right now. As much as I want to mock Suh here, I just dont see it.

1.3 – Bucs – Ndamukong Suh - I think that Suh is going to be a huge force in the league and Tampa needs help badly on the DLine. Hopefully with more stops Freeman gets some chances at a short field. Tampa really still needs to address the offense – as they are desperate for weapons. I just cannot see them trading out of this spot if Suh is available.

1.4 - Redskins – Jimmy Claussen QB - I kind of disagree with this pick because I think that Jason Campbell could be better than we know. That said, I think that he doesn’t display the leadership that might be required out of a starting QB and this could be a sign of mental weakness. Washington is going to want to get their guy in here and after picking up Grossman, I am pretty confident that Campbell is on the chopping block.

1.5 - Chiefs – Eric Berry S - I don't like putting a Safety in the top 10, because I don't think they are worth a top 10 pick. That said, Berry is a special player who has the agility to play the CB position, the tackling skills to play up in the box as a safety and the speed to cover tons of ground in CF. He is a very rare player with a wide array of skills. Gerald McCoy i don't think is a great fit for this defense and I think a lot of his skills would go to waste here.

1.6 - Seahawks - Gerald McCoy DT – After a very unexpected fall, McCoy becomes a Seahawk. He will be a wonderful addition to the team as well with Seattle desperate for some help on the DLline and McCoy could be considered the best in the draft. Could be a monster in the middle of that defensive line.

1.7 - Browns – CJ Spiller RB – I am going against everything that Mike Holmgren has done in the past here by drafting a RB in round one. But One thing he has done is shared a work load at RB. Spiller has very rare skills, skills that make him a legitimate top 10 prospect. Behind that Cleveland Offensive line, I think the sky is the limit. Jerome Harrison will still carry a large role in this offense, as Spiller can line up wide and both RBs can play at the same time. There needs to be more weapons on the offense besides Joshua Cribbs and I do not feel there is a better weapon than Spiller in this draft. If it unfolds like this, it would be very interesting to see how Cleveland handles the return duties.

1.8 - Oakland Raiders – Dez Bryant WR – Okay – its an interesting pick considering they took Heyward Bey last year. I don’t think that Bey is a bust, I think that his work ethic will turn him into a player still. What I do think about Bey though is that he is a complimentary WR. He needs a guy who is a #1 option working opposite him so that he can have time to do what he does and that’s get deep. Bey won’t make his mark running hooks and slants and going over the middle but rather by running deep fly and post patterns against single coverage and distracted safeties. I understand why Al Davis is so committed to Jamarcus Russell. He wants to play a certain brand of football and the deep ball is a huge part of that brand.

1.9 - Bills – Brian Bulaga OT – The Bills have so many holes on this team. I think you need to start this thing with an anchor at LT. When they moved Peters that’s when everything started to go wrong. This is their chance to make it right again so that they can start to rebuild this thing. Bulaga is solid and is the type of guy who you could expect to see in a Bills uniform for a very long time.

1.10 - Jacksonville Jags – Demaryious Thomas WR – With the addition of Kampman, Jacksonville has a chance to address a glaring hole on the offensive side of the ball. I think that as April comes closer Thomas is going to find himself as a top 10 pick. Few teams in the league need a play-maker at WR more than the Jags.

1.11 - Denver Broncos – Joe Haden CB – I just cannot see Haden falling past Denver. Denver needs to inject some youth in the secondary and Haden getting to learn from Dawkins and Bailey would make an already bright future even that much more bright.

1.12 - Miami Dolphins – Dan Williams NT – I don’t doubt that Miami will be drafting a NT this year. Why not get the best?

1.13 - San Francisco – Bruce Campbell OT – Campbell is the best right tackle in this draft and should be a great pick for the 49ers who have a big need at RT. SF has to go now on this position with Seattle picking behind them.

1.14 - Seattle - Taylor Mays S - Kerney is coming back but only for one more year at this time which makes DE not as pressing of a need as it was before. They still do need an Offensive Tackle, but I think that adding players to the secondary takes the cake as the biggest need for this team. Pete Carroll is familiar with Taylor Mays and vice versa.

1.15 - New York Giants - Rolando McClain ILB - The Giants have no hole on their team bigger than MLB, and McClain will fill it wonderfully.

1.16 - Tennessee Titans - Jason Pierre-Paul DE The Titans have 2 glaring needs at DE and CB. Pierre-Paul has put on some impressive displays and should have moved himself well into the first round.

1.17 - San Francisco - Brandon Graham OLB - Graham was a man among boys at the Senior Bowl. Nobody could match his motor or effort or talent. Constantly double teamed at Michigan, Graham got to show what he can do one on one in the Senior Bowl practices and he shined.

1.18 - Pittsburgh Steelers - Mike Iupati OG - If you can give Ben more time I cant imagine how effective he would be. Also this would help out future stud Rashard Mendenhall quite a bit.

1.19 - Atlanta Falcons - Derrick Morgan- DE - John Abraham is getting up there in age and ATL needs to make a move at this position before the cupboard is bare. Just 28 sacks in 2009 makes this a position which needs to be addressed immediately.

1.20 - Houston Texans - Ryan Matthews RB - It seems like the one thing missing from Houston is the 20 touch per game RB. Slaton sure isn't that guy and Ryan Moats isn't that guy. Matthews has done very well for himself on his pro day and in te combine looking like the type of all around RB that Matt Forte is(IMO).

1.21 - Cincinatti Bengals - Everson Griffen DE - Griffin should be available when Cincinnati picks and I think a guy like him working opposite (if healthy) Antwan Odom may or may not be a fluke. Maybe DE isn't the Bengals biggest need, but a guy like Griffin would for sure help out the team and offer insurance for Odom.

1.22 - New England Patriots - Brian Price DT - I think that Price is a Stud and would be an end in the Pats 3-4. For Price to last this long would be a gift for New England in my opinion.

1.23 - Green Bay Packers - Maurkice Pouncey OL - Ted Thompson believes in taking the best player available at all times, regardless of the position. He believes in Versatility among his offensive linemen and Pouncey has the ability to play C, could probably play some guard and can play a little RT. At just 20 years old, Pouncey could be a fixture on that offensive line until we are all a decade and a half older. With Clifton and Tausher coming back, and TJ Lang getting set to take the next step at RT, the offensive line is in decent shape.

1.24 - Philadelphia Eagles - Carlos Dunlap DE - I like Dunlap a lot working opposite Trent Cole in Philly.

1.25 - Baltimore Ravens - Earl Thomas S - Ed Reed is reaching the end of the line and Baltimore needs to find a successor. Thomas is versatile enough to play anywhere in that secondary and because of this he will be able to make an immediate impact to the team.

1.26 - Arizona Cardinals - Sean Weatherspoon LB - Not sure exactly where Weatherspoon would play on this defense, but if they put him at MLB I think he would be a great player. If they put him at OLB, I think he would be a great player. Should be able to fill in for Dansby right away. Maybe not expected to be a perfect fit in the 3-4 but I think he is a football player.

1.27 - Dallas Cowboys - Anthony Davis OT - Flozell Adams is getting up there in age and it is time for Dallas get prepared to turn the position over to someone younger and more consistently effective.

1.28 - San Diego Chargers - Terrance Cody DT - Cody will come right in and fill a need for the Chargers who have backup talent at the NT position currently.

1.29 - NY Jets - Sergio Kindle OLB - Jets get the opportunity to add a fierce pass rusher and a very very skilled 3-4 LB. It fills a need for the Jets and adds another leader to the defense.

1.30- Minnesota Vikings - Trent Williams OT - Minnesota needs to have options behind Mckinney and drafting a big guy like Williams would probably do a lot towards them making one last push to bring Brett Favre back for one more season. Even if Favre retires you can never go wrong in getting a good OT. While Kyle Wilson should get a huge look here, when Williams slips it is too good to pass on.

1.31 - Colts - Jerry Hughes DE - This guy can get after the passer like nobody's business. I think that if you put him in a rotation with Freeney and Mathis, the Colts Pass Rush gets significantly better, even if Hughes has to come out of a 2 point stance. Hughes is a good enough athlete to play on the field along with them both.

1.32 - New Orleans Saints - Koa Misi OLB - Should team with Vilma to make an amazing tandem at the linebacker position. I have not seen Misi go any higher than this in any other Mocks, but in my opinion he is a cant miss player who is ready to contribute right away in a major position of need for the Saints. Should quickly become a fan favorite.

ROUND 2

1. St. Louis (1-15) - Arrelious Benn WR - You cannot spend the first overall pick on a QB and not work on getting him some weapons to throw to. I would be shocked if Benn hasn't moved himself into the first round, but should he be available at the top of the 2nd, I cannot see the Rams passing. With a young QB, he has to have a reliable target who knows how to run routes and can go over the middle and be reliable on 3rd and 6. Benn is that guy and in this situation could be a star.

2. Detroit (2-14) - Kyle Wilson CB - After going OT in the first, Detroit did not help their Run defense. Kyle Wilson can tackle but still he isn't going to be a "run stopper". Against the teams in the NFC NORTH, you gotta be able to stop the pass and giving Delmas a sidekick is something that has to happen in this draft. Teams like Detroit have lots of needs and this is a good starting point.

3. Tampa Bay (3-13) - Damian Williams WR - Tampa needs to find a way to add some weapons for Josh Freeman. Williams is someone that the Bucs can count on to run proper routes and make the consistent catch. He has big play ability and very good run after the catch skills. Williams and Winslow along with a solid running game will give Freeman what he needs, though there is still room to add more.

4. Kansas City (4-12) - Golden Tate WR *DECLARED* - With Weis in KC now, having a player opposite Dwayne Bowe will be a key. Weis is more familiar with Tate than anyone else and I am sure he will get one of his pieces to work with. There will be a learning curve for KC Wrs and Tate might be able to step right in and perform.

5. Washington (4-12) - Charles Brown OT - Washington lost out on Okung and went with the franchise QB, but they are lucky to get Charles Brown at the start of round 2.

6. Cleveland (5-11) - Devin McCourty CB - While we know Holmgren has his eye on a QB at some point, When McCourty is available here though and it fills just a huge need for his team, I dont see how he cannot make the right call.

7. Jacksonville - (VIA TRADE w Oakland Raiders) - Tim Tebow - Jacksonville gets its man and he can learn behind Garrard for another year and see some packages each game. ( I would predict that Oakland would pick up a 3rd and 4th and pick in 2011. )

8. San Diego* (13-3) -Montario Hardesty RB - Hardesty to me seems like he is going to have a long and productive NFL Career and could be a very special player. While he does have some question marks about his health, I think he proved in his final season that he can be a workhorse and can contribute to a team in the running and the passing game. Darren Sproles would be a fantastic change of pace guy and should Hardesty have a knee flare up, Sporles can take the pounding for a week or 2.

9. Buffalo (6-10) - Jermaine Gresham TE - Sometimes the best weapon for a QB is a good TE. Gresham has the tools to be a stud. More than anything, Buffalo needs to find a playmaker on offense and Gresham can be that guy for whomever the QB turns out to be.

10. Tampa Bay - from Chicago^ (7-9) - Patrick Robinson CB - Robinson might not last this long, but he would be a great player working opposite Talib and solidify a position of weakness.

11. Miami (7-9) - Daryl Washington OLB - I am going to predict that Washington could become an excellent OLB in a 3-4 defense. I think that his speed and strength and ability to change direction would turn him into a dominating pass rusher as well as a good player against the pass. Everyone knows he can play the run. Washington could become a great player.

12. New England - from Jacksonville^ (7-9) - Jered Odrick DE - Odrick should have been gone but he will fit in perfect as a 3-4 DE, and the Patriots look to once again resume building depth on their team these next few rounds.

13. Denver (8-8) - Mitch Pietrus OL - I think this guy helped his stock in the combine more than anyone by matching the all time record of 45 bench press. This guy has never had question marks about his pass rushing due to his natural agility but there were questions about his strength in the run game. His bench press numbers show me that he will have what it takes to move the big uglies, especially when he gets the opportunity to get some NFL coaching and trainers. His recent tryouts at Center have shown that he has gained a lot of teams attention.

14. New York Giants (8-8) - Dexter McCluster RB/WR Mississippi - His stock is going to rise as the draft gets closer and people make comparisons to Harvin and Chris Johnson. I see McCluster as a guy who can have a Percy Harvin like impact - while lining up all over the field cause major formation/personal problems for the defense. In my opinion the Giants don't have a guy who can be a major match up problem for defenses and a weapon like this would help Eli Manning out.

15. Cleveland Browns (trade with New England - from Tennessee) - Colt McCoy QB Colt McCoy QB - After spending a few days with Holmgren, I think they will get to see the leadership that Colt McCoy provides and why his teammates all thought so much of this guy. It is that same leadership that will make Coach Holmgren trade up in the draft to get him. I am projecting that NE picks up both Cleveland 3rd round picks.

16. Carolina^ (8-8) - Corey Wootton DE - Wootten is thought by some to be the best DE in this years draft. Ideal size, he struggled with injuries much of this season and still capped 10 sacks. Wotten is a stud run stopper at the DE position and should be able to continue to develop his pass rush Skills.

17. San Francisco (8-8) - Dominique Franks CB - Good size, good speed, good head on his shoulders, great technique.

18. Kansas City - from Atlanta^ (9-7) - Rob Gronkowski TE - I believe that KC wants Albert to learn to play LT. I think that by drafting Gronkowski, who is going to be a very effective blocking TE, you are able to give Albert help when he needs it and you are able to let Albert continue to grow.

19. Houston^ (9-7) - Brandon Ghee CB - Clearly Houston needs help at CB and the sure tackling of Ghee would be a very welcome addition.

20. Pittsburgh (9-7) - Akwasi Owusu-Ansah CB -

21. New England* (10-6) - John Jerry OG - some versitiility should help him see playing time in New England. Neil, Mankins, and Light will not all likely be back so that creates some room for the big fella.

22. Cincinnati* (10-6) – Anthony McCoy TE – Marvin Lewis wants “a Man” at TE. He looks at the TE position as more of a extra blocker than he does an extra WR. I think that McCoy fits what they do in Cincinnati to a tee.

23. Philadelphia* (11-5) - Navarro Bowman LB - Bradley, Trotter and Chris Gocong just do not put fear into anyone. Bowman should be able to challenge anyone for their starting position.

24. Green Bay* (11-5) - Jahvid Best RB - I think that if Best were here and available that the Pack would almost have to pick him up. Rodgers would love to see GB draft the Cal Bear and he fits a need in my opinion as well as might be the best player available. Brandon Jackson has been a bit of a disappointment, and Best would be able to help out in the return game as well as in the passing game.

25. Baltimore* (9-7) - Syd'Quan Thompson CB - Frank Walker should be roster fodder, not a starting CB. I think that Syd'Quan Thompson is a true shutdown CB whos stock is going to rise as the draft nears.

26. Arizona* (10-6) - Kareem Jackson CB - Physical in your face CB who ran really surprisingly well.

27. Dallas* (11-5) - Joe Pawelek ILB - Keith Brooking is getting up there in age and may be losing a step. Pawelek will keep Brooking on top of his game and be ready to step in if age should catch up.

28. Seattle (5-11) - Joe McKnight RB - Rare athlete athletically, impossible to tackle one on one in the open field. Reggie Bush without the hype and knee problems.

29. New York Jets* (9-7) - Reshad Jones FS - Replacement for Kerry Rhodes.

30. Minnesota* (12-4) Chris Cook CB/S - Vikings need to address the secondary.

31. Indianapolis* (14-2) - Greg Hardy DE - At this point in the draft a guy like Hardy is a steal.

32. New Orleans* (13-3) - Darrell Stuckey S -Sharper will not play forever and Stuckey can hopefully help soften that blow.

ROUND 3

1. St. Louis (1-15) - Austen Lane DE - A Division II prospect who has been compared to Justin Tuck, a pass rusher like Lane would be a gift for the Rams who have not addressed the Defense at all so far in the draft. A very raw talent who has not had a supreme level of competition is the only reason he slips this far.

2. Detroit (2-14) - Toby Gerhart RB - Detroit should look at a powerful Running back to help Kevin Smith and perhaps take the goal line carries. Gerhart is going to do that as well as take away his job.

3. Tampa Bay (3-13) - Nate Allen FS - Tampa need a Play-maker at FS and I think Nate Allen can be that guy.

4. Kansas City (4-12) - Selvish Capers - KC should add a tackle that is good enough to Push Albert to success, not someone who is going to take his place.

5. Oakland (5-11) - Brandon Spikes ILB - Spikes is a football player who should not be available at this point if not for his poor running. Should be able to significantly help the Raiders run defense in whatever role they can put him in.

6. Philadelphia - from Seattle (5-11) - Jonathan Dwyer RB - With Westbrook at the end of the line, and McCoy more of a finesse back, the Eagles would look at Dwyer to pound the ball as McCoyis not a 20 touch a game back.

7. New England (Via trade with Cleveland - also acquiring a later pick) - Charles Scott RB - All substance and no flash, similar to Sammy Morris but with alot more running power and hopefully spends less time in the trainers room.

8. Buffalo (6-10) - Brandon Lafell WR - LaFell reminds me of Anquan Boldin quite a bit. Not great timed speed but has elite body control and strong hands. Runs great routes. The Bills have done a great job adding weapons to this offense with a big OT, star TE and great possession WR. Brohm or Edwards might get one last chance with a fair opportunity to succeed this time around.

9. Miami (7-9) - Demario Alexander WR - Athletic freak who can jump out of the gym. Should be a great red zone target.

10. Oakland (VIA TRADE W Jacksonville) - Lamarr Houston DL - I think that Houston is a very rare athlete(recruited as a FB) with the Ability to play all over the line. My opinion is that this fits in well with what the Raiders like from their Defensive linemen. Could be a huge impact player along that line with the talent that they currently have.

11. Chicago^ (7-9) -Blair White WR - Should be a great possession guy for Jay Cutler. Surprising speed makes him an even more desirable talent.

12. New York Giants (8-8) - Vladimir Ducasse OL - Should be a good pick for the Giants power running game.

13. Tennessee^ (8-8) - Jordan Shipley WR - great college production - might be able to help the Titans move the ball down field and remove some pressure from Kenny Britt.

14. Carolina^ (8-8) - Dan LeFevour QB - This guy can play football. Good Arm strength, good accuracy, good footwork and he has some wheels. He has thrown the ball an absolute ton thru his 4 seasons at Central Michigan. He seems to be seasoned and have ice water in his veins. I put LeFevour right up there with Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy as far as being ready to run a team as a rookie. His arm strength might not ever be mistaken with Jamarcus Russells, but how far did that get him?

15. San Francisco (8-8) - Morgan Burnett S

16. Denver (8-8) - Mike Neil DE - Another piece to the 3-4 Mike Neil is too good of a player to pass on.

17. Houston^ (9-7) - Ras I Dowling CB - Dowling might project to Safety at the next level. Even as a corner houston might have found 2 new starters with Ghee and Dowling.

18. Pittsburgh (9-7) - Allen Bailey DE

19. Atlanta^ (9-7) - Matt Tennant C

20. Cincinnati* (10-6) - Amari Spievey Cb - Bengals have some good starting corners but the depth is very thin after that.

21. Oakland - - from New England * (10-6) – Jered Veldheer OT - Good Combine should put him on the Raiders draft board. Ill be surprised if he is still available here.

22. Green Bay * (11-5) - Donovann Warren CB - Michigan Alum will be taken under Woodsons wing and taught the way to play the game. Perfect Tudor for Warren , as Woodson no longer possess elite speed but rather gets it done with knowledge and technique.

23. Philadelphia * (11-5) - AJ Edds - ILB - Teaming with Bowman to really add some youth and talent to a weak spot on the Eagles roster.

24. Arizona - Jarette Brown QB - Most likely to be inactive on game days....at least until they decide if Leinart is or is not the answer.

25. Arizona * (10-6) - Eric Norwood OLB - Norwood should be an effective pass rusher for the Cards opposite Joey Porter.

26. Dallas * (11-5) - LeGarrette Blount - Blount looks to me like a guy who could be the eventual replacement for Marion Barber. Barber will likely have a much shorter shelf life than most RBs because of his wreckless running style.

27. San Diego * (13-3) - Desmon Briscoe WR - Very raw prospect who probably shouldnt have come out. A very good team will draft him and let him ease his way into the rotation.

28. New England Patriots (VIA TRADE W Cleveland - from New York Jets* (9-7) - ) - Mardy Gilyard WR - Might be the eventual replacement for Randy Moss as a big play threat. (This is part 2 of the trade with Cleveland with part one being Charles Scott) .

29. Minnesota * (12-4) Sean Lee ILB - EJ Henderson has another huge injury and nobody can be sure if he will be back, or even back to form. Minnesota has a small window (assuming Brett returns) and need to protect themselves the MLB position.

31. Indianapolis * (14-2) - Ciron Black OT - Rarely do players who have the talent of Black fall this far in the draft. Colts fill a position of need here by getting a backup OT with big skills.

32. New Orleans * (13-3) - Aaron Hernandez TE

:goodposting:

Nice mock....this particular pick would make things very interesting....

If Ted Thompson believes in BPA always, why is he taking an interior lineman at #23?

Love the Packers' 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Good work on this 3 round mock. Thanks.

If the Lions pass on Suh, I'm going postal...

I think the conventional wisdom is that the Lions do indeed go top CB with the 2.02 pick. I'm not entirely sold that this year's CB class is all that great and hope that whomever they take (assuming they take a CB there) is worth it.

I do agree that a RB will likely be taken at 3.02 or 4.02 by Detroit, if they don't go for one at 2.02 (which is a distinct possibility).

Very good mock. Great analysis. I would be very surprised if so many skill guys were picked and went to good spots for them.

I like that you have Amari Speivey in the top 3 rounds. He is the best CB I have seen at Iowa. Shut down. Better than Fletcher, Godfrey, and Tom Knight. I think he ends up being a very good starter in the NFL with a pro bowl or two. Whoever can get him in round 2-4 is going to be very happy. He hasn't had the best workouts but is a force on the field.

As a Buffalo homer I like 2 of your picks but surprised about the 2nd rounder. I don't think the Bills really need Gresham with Nelson coming back healthy. I think Nelson can be a great pass catching TE. I know his blocking is a little weak but I'm sure that can improve.

I would also be a little surprised if the Bills spent thier first three picks on the offense when we'll be making the switch to a 3-4 and don't even have the personel to run it. I could see them taking Jered Odrick with that pick or even reaching a little to take Lamarr Houston or Vladimir Ducasse. I actually wouldn't mind seeing them take Colt McCoy in the 2nd. I think Gailey can work with him and help him be successful in his offense.

But I would love it if the Bills were to get Baluga in the 1st (assuming both QB's were gone). I think he could be the 2nd best OT in the draft and will be a solid starter for us. There's no doubt we need as much O-line help as we can get.

****Rams view*****

I think Bradford is a guarantee

I would love Benn or Tate, I don't love Tate so I would also prefer Benn

I'm not real familiar with Austen Lane but if he is being compared to Justin Tuck I can see why we would be interested especially with Spags being familiar with that type of player and talent. I could also see the Rams going with a LB here. I don't see Sapp picked zand I think he would be a nice outside LB or Spikes from Florida. As your draft worked out they would both be there in the fourth with would make me estatic.

Good looking mock, thanks for taking the time to do this

If Ted Thompson believes in BPA always, why is he taking an interior lineman at #23?Love the Packers' 2nd and 3rd round picks.Good work on this 3 round mock. Thanks.
With Trent Williams, McCourty, and Earl Thomas still on the board...I would hate the Pouncey pick.Agree on the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

If the Lions pass on Suh, I'm going postal... :hophead: I think the conventional wisdom is that the Lions do indeed go top CB with the 2.02 pick. I'm not entirely sold that this year's CB class is all that great and hope that whomever they take (assuming they take a CB there) is worth it.I do agree that a RB will likely be taken at 3.02 or 4.02 by Detroit, if they don't go for one at 2.02 (which is a distinct possibility).
THe Lions are not passing on Suh.love the 2nd round pick for themGerhardt isnt the kind of back I think they want. they want a speed/home run hitter type not a smasher.

Buffalo- They'll take Bulaga for sure if he's there at #9. But there is no freaking way they take a TE or WR in the top 3 rounds (unless they add more picks). They don't have a starting NT & desperately need OLB.

1.13 - San Francisco – Bruce Campbell OT – Campbell is the best right tackle in this draft and should be a great pick for the 49ers who have a big need at RT. SF has to go now on this position with Seattle picking behind them. 2.17. San Francisco (8-8) - Dominique Franks CB - Good size, good speed, good head on his shoulders, great technique. 3.15. San Francisco (8-8) - Morgan Burnett S
Hate the Campbell pick. Don't agree that he's the best RT in the draft. 49ers need an immediate starter at RT, and Campbell looks like a project. On this board, I go Trent Williams in about 30 seconds.Graham pick is good. Can never have too many pass rushers, especially with Lawson in the final year of his contract and Ahmad Brooks still an unkown. Franks is another good pick. Ghee is another popular choice here if SF passes on a CB in the first.Burnett is solid.Besides hating the Campbell pick, I think you did great. Nailed 3/4 :shrug:Great read, thanks for posting. :kicksrock:

Giants viewpoint:

1.15 -- McClain. Obviously best-case scenario, but I am very concerned now about him not getting past Denver at 1.11

2.14 -- McCluster. Would add a great dimension to the offense, but my thought is that they would go O-Line here. Then again, I'm nowhere near an expert or anything... lol

3.12 -- Ducasse. I mocked him in the 2nd a short time ago for the G-Men. I would wonder if they didn't take him in the 2nd that he would last all the way to this pick...

Great mock and analysis...!

THe Lions are not passing on Suh.

I really disagree. I think the Lions are going OT with this pick. Stafford got BEAT UP last year. This team without Stafford will kill everything they have been working towards.

Hate the Campbell pick. Don't agree that he's the best RT in the draft. 49ers need an immediate starter at RT, and Campbell looks like a project. On this board, I go Trent Williams in about 30 seconds.
I think Campbell is ready to play RT in the NFL. I think he is a project if you move him to the left side. Just my opinion.........thanks

I think Pouncey is a very rare talent who has done things at 20 that not many can - such as making all the calls at the LOS. He has versitility, which if you follow TT, that is very high on his list for Olinemen. He is very athletic, which will play well on the Packers OLine. I think he just might be the best player a this point. Who else in the draft can play both interior OLINE spots and maybe kick out to RT? its just a guess honestly but I can see it.

2.28. Seattle (5-11) - Joe McKnight RB - Rare athlete athletically, impossible to tackle one on one in the open field. Reggie Bush without the hype and knee problems.
As a Hawks homer I would be very happy with these selections Addressing their biggest (of many) needs. My main hope is that they don't reach on a QB. And that they somehow trade into the 3rd and pick up OL help.

I don't think we need another "maybe" RT.Right now there are the debates that Lang very well may just be an LG and not a tackle. If so, they have Lang at LG...Sitton at RG...Wells at C.While Wells is not a great player...could they afford to take a guy to make him a center and still not go after a true tackle right now?FWIW...I like Pouncey and think he is a heck of a player. Just not sure the best fit for GB at this time.

You have a lot of 4th, 5th & 6th RD prospects going very early.

What Top100 list are you using? The best sites out there have Top100's where ~85% of the players get selected in the Top100 picks (RD 1-3)

McCluster going before Best is a gutsy call but I don't think it will happen.
I think Best is really really talented but he has concussion history and I think this is something that NFL teams are very weary of. Also I think there would have to be a lot of work done for his pass protection before a team is going to trust him back there protecting their franchise QB. That said, I really like what Best brings to the table and perhaps it is a long shot to have McCluster(who also has injury questions) going first. I just think Dexter McCluster is NFL Ready and is a piece that the Giants could really use as I don't see any sort of explosive players who have his multi dimensional ability. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, perhaps I will reevaluate in April.

as an eagles fan, i cant agree with any of their picks

No way they take Dunlap round 1, especially with Earl Thomas still on the board.

and if there was a prototypical back that does not fit Andy Reid's system, its Jonathan Dwyer

You're looking at stats and not at what management is saying. They like Backus and don't feel that last year was his fault. I think the only way they draft OKung is if they trade out of the #2 slot. If they stay there then they will draft Suh.
