ROUND 1

1 Panthers-DeQuan Bowers-DE I was very tempted to put Cam Newton here but decided to hold off....for now.

2 Broncos-Marcell Dareus-DT Broncos suprise some people and go with the D-Lineman without as much hype.

3 Bills-Von Miller-OLB Safe choice that will make up for Maybin...almost.

4 Bengals-AJ Green-WR Obvious choice here. Maybe they take Newton, but those are really the only two options.

5 Cardinals-JJ Watt-DE Another surprising choice, but Wisenhunt reaches for the guy he wants.

6 Browns-Nick Fairly-DT Has a ton of talent as he showed this year, but also some huge questains. Browns take him to anchor their swith back to a 43.

7 49ers-Parick Peterson-CB Maybe the best player in the draft falls all the way to seven. Plus at a positon of huge need. Atomatic.

8 Titans-Blaine Gabbert-QB I just can't see them taking Newton. They front office will be paranoid to not make the Vince Young mistake again by taking a running QB

9 Cowboys-Cam Jordan-DE They need a end and Jordan is the best availible. Considered Amukamara.

10 Redskins-Cam Newton-QB Falls farhter than expect. Snyder takes one look and pounces.=

11 Texans-Prince Amukamara-CB Not much to say. Bad secondary, elite corner.

12 Vikings-Robert Quinn-DE The vikings may folishly let Ray Edwards go. They get lucky here and a potential 12 to 14 sack player falls. But he may fit better in a 34

13 Lions-Tyron Smith-OT A reach but it fills a huge need. Meaningless wins took away their chance at Peterson or Amukamara. They could have had a top 3 pick.

14 Rams-Julio Jones-WR Every is putting Jones here for a good reason. Rams get a steal.

15 Dolphins-Mark Ingram-RB It is rare to see anything different in a mock. I think they will go another direction. But I cant find anyone else with a better chance.

16 Jaguars-Ryan Kerrigan-DE Going with the safe pass rusher here to go with Kampman and Harvey.

17 Patriots-Aldon Smith-OLB Not as big a need as DE. But Smith is a far better player than any of the ends left.

18 Chargers-Adrian Clayborn-DE Clayborn adds youth to an average DE position.

19 Giants-Cory Liuget-DT Giants biggest need and one of the best players on the board.

20 Buceneers-Jimmy Smith-CB Without a DE or S worth taking here bucs take a corner to replace Ronde and go oppisite Talib.

21 Cheifs-Leonard Hankerson-WR There is no #2 in KC so they take a similar player to Bowe who will give defenses nightmares preparing for both.

22 Colts-Anthony Costanzo-OT Sures up the line. Won't be flashy but will be all the colts need.

23 Eagles-Brandon Harris-CB Corner back is a need, and Harris will solve that.

24 Saints-Stephen Paea-DT Best D-lineman on the board will go nicely with Sed Ellis.

25 Seahawks-Jon Baldwin-WR The seahawks have no starting caliber recivers and Baldwin will give them that.

26 Ravens-Aaron Williams-CB Not much at the corner back position in Baltimore and Wiliams is the last top caliber corner left.

27 Falcons-Justin Houston-DE More of a LB, but the Falcons needed to make this pick with no other huge needs.

28 Patriots-Mikel Leshoure-RB Best running back in the draft gives the pats a 3 headed monster.

29 Bears-Nate Solder-OT Chris Williams is a bust at tackle and Jamarcus Webb should not be in the league.

30 Jets-Akeem Ayers-OLB Don't expect him to fall this far but couldn't find a spot for him.

31 Steelers-Gabe Carimi-OT Everyone is putting Pouncey here but right tackle is a bigger need.

32 Packers-Brooks Reed-OLB Last good pass rusher on the board.

Saints just signed Shaun Rodgers. If they go D, it will probably be a pass rusher (DE or LB). DT isn't a priority.@

If Arizona doesn't go qb in the first round I will be interested who they get via FA or trade.

In this scenario, they could draft Ponder in the 3rd round and sign McNabb....that would be perfect

I think very unlikely that Ponder drops this far and he should be in any draft in round 2. His stock is taking off right now.

How many of the teams needing a QB run the West Coast system?

Nice effort.

Patriots TRADE pick #33, guaranteed.
back to the panthers for Steve Smith
I know you are joking but that trade isn't even possible without a new CBA.
Despite a current labor dispute between league owners and players over a new collective bargaining agreement, a provision in the current CBA ensures that this draft will still take place.[1] However, barring a new CBA, teams will not be able to trade players for draft selections (trades involving only selections are permitted, however), and will not be able to sign or even contact undrafted players.[2]

Nice job, a few surprises and not a conventional mock but the NFL Draft is always full of surprises. A few thoughts:

- I don't see Bowers going #1. I don't believe that Newton is worthy of the choice but history shows that new regimes want their own QB. I don't think Carolina passes on either Gabbert or Newton. Panther fans must be crying that Luck didn't declare.

- Buffalo is a hard team to mock for, I've gone back and forth between Newton, Gabbert, Miller and Peterson. I'll be interested to see where they go with that pick.

- Seeing Watt going that high would shock me, especially after reading on Rotoworld that Watt isn't believed to be a top 10 talent. Major reach if it happens.

- I also think the Dolphins should go in a different direction with their pick, but if free agency doesn't happen until after the draft then I think Ingram would be the pick which would be disappointing since I want to see them go after DeAngelo instead.

- I see Clayborn's stock falling, it would surprise me to see him in the top half of the 1st round.

- Wilkerson is pretty low but I would love to see him go to Seattle, especially in the 2nd round, great value.

Nice job!
