League details are in signature: PPR Dynasty 2qb deep league.

Post is about my team but meant to generate discussion about HOW to GO ABOUT doing this.

Ideally, I'd like to upgrade or consolidate talent in starter positions or move some players to get more draft picks to move around in the draft.

It's hard to do when you have a few key pieces that you're looking to keep and the other players are all equally talented in the Tier3 range and don't garner a lot of trade value. That's where it really helps to try and consolidate.

With roster spaces I believe I have 2-3 spots I can clear.

Draft picks are 1.02, 2.02, 2.09, 3.02, 3.09.

I'd like to keep my 1.02 and 2.02 draft picks. It looks like I'll get LUCK at #2 overall.

I'd like another WR. But are these players better than some of my flex options or who might have upside or are in a favorable team situation.

MY ROSTER:

QB: Rivers, Bradford, Smith (Luck)?

WR: Harvin/DJAX/STevJohnson/DECKER/G Little/VBrown/DBess/LMoore.

RB: DMurray/Forte/Blount/Hardesty/McCluster/Tanner/Ogbonnaya

TE: Gates/Hernandez/Kendricks/JuThomas

QB: We start 2. I have 4 starters. 2012 projection for my #2 QB...all kind of have them lumped in top 15-25 range it seems.

WR: Harvin is good. Johnson might be decent. Decker upside but DJAX value is down. BESS/MOORE don't demand a lot of trade value.

RB: Murray/Forte/Blount keepers. Hardesty, McCluster, Ogbonnaya don't get a lot in trades. Tanner will likely be dropped.

TE: Hernandez keeper, Gates...aging...Kendricks...not ready yet upside....JuThomas...Manning could help his value we'll see.

No body wants a 3players for 1 trade.

Nobody wants a 2.09, 3.02, 3.09 for a late first or early 2nd rounder.

OTHER Dilemma...owners are blinded by your top options: "I want Rivers...Forte your #2 overall pick" and don't listen to anything else"

My mock had me taking

1.02 LUCK.

2.02 Alshon Jeffery (over Stephen Hill),

2.09 Juron Criner WR not sure why

3.02 Ryan Broyles WR

3.09 Jonas Gray RB heard some upside of him.

I would have to make a move to take that many players.

Are these players better than the ones on my roster now or down the road?

My depth is at WR. They're also the slowest to develop usually.

Steve Johnson might be the guy I'm most willing to trade. Fitzpatrick owner could use him but for what. (he owns #1.04 #1.06 picks)

Do I look to try and snag an INDY WR like Wayne or COLLIE?

Arrelis Benn's value is low but with upside. Do try to get him cheap?

Seems like the teams that need WR....also need a bunch of other players and don't have picks or players to send back resulting in a sideways trade at best.

Taking luck would mean I have three #1 Overall picks on my roster. Not that it means anything. I would say I got them for pretty decent values. You could do worse.

I wish MIA had a QB so I could trade BESS. Not sure how is value is impacted.

Most owners are looking to get roster spots not fill them. I doubt I could get 2013 picks for the those players at the moment.

McCluster's value is low. Still time on him but patience is slowing.

THIS IS A LONG READ and SPECIFIC to my team/league. But it's what I am an authority on to discuss and I know there are similarities and challenges that others face in their leagues. Hopefully discussing this will allow you to come up with some of your own analysis to help you to a championship.

MY question would be:

Which WR's RBs in the 2012 draft do you like more than the players on my rosters.

People have Luck as a top 10-15 QB his year. Really? on Indy? 2012? I'm not ready to bank on that right away.

My RBs are coming off IR injuries. What are some value players or upside players between Forte/Murray <-------this range-----> BLOUNT that you like.

What about RBs with upside: Shane Vereen? Mikal LeShoure? Mark Ingram? Benson? Rookies? that should project higher that HARDESTY etc.

What about WR talents...what draft pick range do I need to target if I'm going to get a player that might be able to contribute this year or in two years.

All thoughts are appreciated. I will do my best to answer any other links etc.

Which players should I be looking at:

Britt/Locker?

Collie/Wayne? Indy RB?

J.Ford?

Josh Johnson SF QB

a STL emerging WR? That was a big crap shoot last year.

Ryan Williams AZ? had injury.

Mikal LeShoure same

Just some thoughts...
