Guys who would be nice upgrades(pre-draft roster) on that list(not all are realistic fits, but just from a talent perspective):Sebastian VollmerAndre SmithAndy LevitreDashon GoldsonWilliam MoorePaul KrugerJake LongSean SmithBrent GrimesPhil LoadholtChris HoustonDustin Keller(upgrade over Celek as a receiver IMO)Brian Hartline(as a wr3)Ed ReedDanny Amendola(wr3)Glover QuinFred Davis(same as Keller)Michael BennettKenny PhillipsBrandon MooreJermon BushrodDesmond BryantDelanie WalkerGosder CherilusAdam PacMan Jones(he scares me though)Jason Jones(3-4 DE?)Mike DevitoBradley FletcherLouis DelmasDaryl SmithLouis VasquezErin HendersonPhilip WheelerGlenn DorseyBrad JonesChris ClemonsRichard SeymourI'm not sure if all the defensive players even fit in a 3-4 :P

Chiefs sign Bowe and tag Albert....Maybe they dont take Joeckel now?
It is Andy but probably still take Joeckel and have solid bookends.
They just signed Winston to a 4 year 22 million dollar deal last year and he's their RT. Right now they have like two DL under contract and one (Tyson Jackson) is scheduled to make 17 million this year. They may take Star #1
yea, don't think you can take a guy at #1 and not play him. If Joeckel was easily the best player - maybe. I don't think a lot differentiates him though. I can see them going DL... no idea who though.

Reid will make the same mistakes he did here in philly. Take the need instead of the best player available. Looking for a quick turnaround instead of building. He has offensive weapons to work with but not sure about the D.

What are the current options for Nose Tackles for this year?

Here are the guys I'm aware me, let me know if I'm missing anyone.

Draft: Star L, Jonathan Hankins, John Jenkins, Jesse Williams, TJ Barnes

Free Agency: Isaac Sopoaga, Terrence Knighton, Shaun Cody, Ricky Jean Francois, Casey Hampton, Desmond Bryant(would he be a NT?)

Which are these guys are startable and what's our best option? From what I've heard, this will be the toughest position to find a fit. Is Star L. the only option? What's the fallback plan if we take Joeckel or Fischer in the draft?

Well we still don't know if they're moving to a 3-4, a 4-3 under, a hybrid, or something else. Plus, different schemes require different types of nose tackles. Bill Davis might want a mammoth to eat up blocks (340+ lbs.) or a quicker guy who can rush the passer (300 lbs. or less).

Howard Eskin (wrongly... shocking, I know) reported that Nnamdi's being cut today. Of course all the Eagles beat writers refuted that, but it is expected he'll be released soon. So that's good.

I think Sal Pal said last night that both CBs are expected to be released. Today wouldn't be surprising.

@RVacchianoNYDN: Free agency opens Tuesday, but teams can begin negotiating with UFAs on Saturday -- like a 3-day "get out of tampering charges free" card.

If this happens the Eagles secondary will be: Nate Allen, Kurt Coleman, Colt Anderson, David Sims, Brandon Boykin, Brandon Hughes and Curtis Marsh. Eek!

Yup. He used the words "full rebuild". He also mentioned LaRon Landry as a potential FA target.

I believe Coleman is a FA as well and won't / shouldn't come back

Accordings to eaglescap Coleman has one more year.

If Landry wants a decent amount of money, I'd rather have the Eagles go hard for a guy like William Moore or Glover Quin. Landry is great against the run, but his coverage skills are pretty mediocre.

I don't know much about his playing ability. Sal seemed to think he could be had for a reasonable number. He also threw out the name "Ed Reed". Yeah he's old, but the thinking was if you could convince him to come in for a year or 2 to provide leadership and mentor the young guys. For the record, this was heard during Sal's regular Tuesday segment on 97.5.

The Eagles don't need to bring in another 30-year-old offensive linemen. Between Peters, Mathis, Herremans, and Watkins, they have enough as it is.

Seriously. I'd like a young one with talent please. Hoping Fisher and Milliner are there at 4 so we can con Detroit into giving us an extra 3rd or 4th to jump a spot. Take Fisher at 5 then.

Definitely. Seriously need to add some youth & talent to that line, esp if we actually intend to run the ball in a meaningful way. We run a big risk of having the OL turn bad real fast if Peters/Mathis/Heremanns retire or start to suck suddenly and it could happen anytime over the next season or two for any of them. For some reason Heremanns still makes me nervous, he wasn't playing super before the injury and I think there's a pretty fair chance he comes back as a clearly lesser player than two years ago.

The big question mark with Herremans (besides his age/injury) is where does he fit in a Chip Kelly offensive line? He played well as the RT in 2011, was up and down in 2012, and was a guard before that. If you kept him at RT, Danny Watkins could be the RG. I know everyone hates him (I don't care for him either), but maybe a new scheme will help him out. Maybe he works better in a more balanced offense. He's still raw, so having him drop back and pass protect 40-50 times a game isn't a great idea.

Either way, youth is definitely needed at all four positions but center. Though I have no clue if guys like Matt Kopa or Julian Vandervelde are of any value.

I think something like this may help out many of our OL to be honest with you.

Do be fair, i dont care how old he is as long as he can block. I will take anyone, seriously. Even if its for 1 year, thats one more year we have than today.I really dont think a lot of Eagles fans realize how bad our Oline is and how little to ZERO depth we have.Oh yea, same thing with DL, CBs, LBs, Safetys. We sign BPA and draft BPA. We could do this for 3 years and not have a reasonable depth chart like the Pats, Ravens and Giants.

FWIW Winston only allowed 3 sacks last year and was the 9th ranked RT in the NFL according to PFF

So we're only adding 2 players a year?

Ya I'm not sure I understand why we wouldn't want this guy. I realize the rebuild, but this guy is still a top 15 RT in the league and it would be a great fit, shifting todd over to guard. I think he could be a solid starter/mentor to younger guys for a few solid years and give us the ability to draft some young raw talent on the line and not rush them into playing.

Not sure what your asking here

One of our goals should be to shift Todd, either from an FA signing or a Top pick

@GeoffMosherCSN: If you missed it last night, my story on #Eagles losing one of their top scouts in heart of the pre-draft process: http://t.co/NoEnaq5rQp
Shall we assume that this is DH's buddy?
IIRC his buddy was going to Indy with their new gm...
And yet there's been no other news reported about scouts leaving.
I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find info on the scouting department. A while back DH said his buddy was going to Indy so its not him. I'd look for the quote but really don't care that much

I was merely pointing out that there's been no other announcements about scouting staff leaving the team. Nothing reported about a scout going to Indianapolis. I think its a bit unusual for personnel staff to leave pre-draft, as noted in this article. So I was wondering aloud why the mystery man's departure has never been reported. In retrospect, my earlier comment could be interpreted as smug and dismissive. My bad.

Anyone think the team has any interest in Harrison?
I don't see it. He'll be 35 years old next season. Plus, I'm sure he wants to go to a contender.
Curious to see if they target an outside or inside LB... likely depends heavily on what role they envision for Kendricks in the new defense. He looks skilled enough to handle either role.So many unanswered questions about Kelly's preferred scheme on both sides of the ball... hopefully we'll learn more as free agency unfolds.Anyone think they're looking at a WR upgrade? I'd certainly like to see more speed at the WR3 spot. Maybe Avant can catch on with Andy in KC.
