*** 2013 Official Philadelphia Eagles - NFC EAST CHAMPS*** (3 Viewers)

Whoever comes to town... SF, Car, NOLA or Dallas... I'll be there wearing my lucky Eagles retro green tee shirt. I bought it at the Linc during the NYG game Barkley played almost the entirety of. I have wore it the last 5 Sundays they have played. 5-0. I just wish I had put it on at the game. It was in the bag under my seat the whole time. That one's on me.

for!!!
this story reminds me of those BudLight commercials

Good win today Philly. So if the 49ers lose today do we slide into the 6th seed?
Yeah, we would...tie-breaker is win percentage in conference games. Eagles are 7-2 against NFC opponents, Niners would be 5-4 with a loss to SEA.
Might sound like a crazy question, but would we rather the 4 seed and host carolina in the playoffs, or the 5/6 seed and play at dallas/detroit?
Personally I wouldn't fear any of those teams but I'd rather have a home game.
Ya, home game is the obvious answer, but I would kind of like our chances better at detroit or dallas based on how good we play on the road, and our speed in a dome.... rather then a tough carolina d coming to philly. Either way I'd be extatic and won't be picky though!
It may just be the beer but I don't fear any teams defense, especially at home. Arizona was supposed to be good and we scored. Detroit was supposed to be to snuff the run and we hit them for 300+. Assuming we continue on this roll with no major hiccups I believe if we get a home playoff game we win with little problem.

I think it's the beer haha. It's great to be optimistic (something eagles fans aren't known for)... but I would never say we will win a playoff game 'with little problem". Carolina and SF defenses, especially come playoff time I think are much better then Arizona/Detroits. Would love to see our boys on a fast track in Dallas or Detroit for playoffs. Not saying we won't beat Carolina, but it would be a very tough game and not a cakewalk.

SF's win tonight probably makes it tough for us to get a WC spot anyways though. I'll happily take the div if we can.

Back on the road next week.

- Tough emotional loss for Minny
- AP potentially not playing
- Back in good conditions on a fast track to get our offense going

- Minny's season is officially over now. Might have little motivation.

I see us riding this win into a monstar game next week. 31-10 Eagles.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but if the Bears beat Dallas tomorrow night and if Aaron Rodgers is healthy next week, there's a shot we can make week 17 irrelevant.

Missed the game while sitting on an idling plane in Orlando for 4 hours. They let us off and I got to a bar just as it was ending. Can't wait to watch the DVR when (if) I make it home tomorrow.

Lets go Bears!

@Jeff_McLane: MT @BStrohEagles: #Eagles ripped off 223 4th-q rush yds. That's most by any team in a quarter since '91 when quarterly stats have been kept.

@JimmyKempski: #Eagles had 8 plays of 20+ yards today. That gives them 80 on season. On pace for 98.5. The 2001 'Greatest Show on Turf' Rams had 96.

Just reserved my playoff tickets.

That game was nuts yesterday. It looked like in the second half, once the pace of the snow stopped, the Eagles got their footing and the Lions weren't able to cut or plant. So much for that great run defense of Detroit.

One of the craziest Eagles game I can remember. Maybe the Fog Bowl beats this out but not by much. Huge statement win. I'm not talking about playoffs until they're locked in but things are looking very good.

What a fantastic game! Recorded the game yesterday on my PC and went to the edit the files and some how corrupted them :(

Very happy for Shady, looks like he will win his rushing title (knock on wood).

His moves in the snow looked unfair actually. I have no idea how you're expected to tackle him in the open field in those conditions.

coach of the year
Today I would say;

1. Andy Reid

2. Ron Rivera

3. Chip Kelly

I think it depends on how deep into the playoffs these coaches go.
I agree with Rivera being in the mix but no offense, screw Andy. He walked into a roster with pro bowlers. Chip is doing it with two completely different QBs in his first year in the league and without a bunch of pro-bowlers. He actually should be the leading candidate right now.

Let's let it all play out. If we win out, I don't think there's a question who it should be. But if KC finishes 12-4, who do you think the National Media will vote for?

Everytime I see that NFL Insiders commercial on ESPN, I die laughing. "Who knew KC would be a perfect fit for one of the greatest offensive minds in the NFL? They did." :lmao:

I think that top 3 list is bang on. Number of pro bowlers is fairly irrelevant, the things they should look at is improvement over last year, and projected vs actual record. Not sure how Andy isn't the choice if he takes a team from 2-14 to 12-4... that's a remarkable feat. He did walk into talent on defense, but Chip walked into one of the more talented offensive teams on paper too.

We both stunk last year (they were worse), and both teams had a 7.5 Win over/under pre season. I think whichever of us ends up with the better record is deserving of the award.

Dallas vs packers

Might be a good thing.
I think next week is our only chance of making week 17 irrelevant. Highly doubt Dallas loses to the Redskins in week 16.
I don't doubt Dallas loses ever. They could face Houston and have a decent shot at losing IMO. After watching them last night, would it shock anyone if they ended up losing all 3 remaining games?
How does a team give up 600+ yards 3 different games?

Just makes our loss to them that much more baffling.

Last night gave the Eagles some much needed leeway. Running the table, winning 8 in a row, to finish 11-5 is possible and IMO quite likely. But it's hard to win 8 straight in the NFL regardless of the opponents on the schedule. Weather, penalties, big plays... you just never know any given Sunday.

Not time to take the foot of the gas but if the Eagles hiccup v Minnesota or Chicago they still clinch the division with a win at Dallas. A split over the next two games guarantees week 17 is a win and you're in... at worst. And at best, a bye week. Totally conceivable Dallas does us another favor and we win the next two.

Tighten up the special teams and blow the Vikings up on the fast track this week!!

Chicago playing very good right now, that one looks to be a shootout. One game at a time - we need to not overlook Minnesota. Record aside, Peterson injury aside, we're still going into their home and they have some playmakers that can make this a game.

I can't see Dallas losing to Washington, that team is in such disarray.

Most importantly, Week 14, Eagles with a one game lead in the division? F'n awesome.

There's not a doubt in my mind Andy will win the award.

There's also not a doubt in my mind that if he was still on that sideline on Sunday, he'd have come out and had Foles throw it 45 times into the teeth of that blizzard, McCoy run it about 12 times, and the Birds would have lost that game by three TDs.

I can't begin to describe what a refreshing feeling it was to see Chip make exactly the kind of dramatic half-time adjustments necessary to win that game.

To answer your question, I saw this on the Cowboys thread:

Stat of the day.

Dallas' defense against the Broncos, Saints, and Bears. 1 forced punt total.

It's just a hiccup that teams go through...which is why I worry about the Minnesota game this weekend. I'm sure a team like Seattle is still trying to figure out how they lost to Indy...same with the Saints against the Jets. I actually hate Joe Webb for this weeling I have about this game on Sunday lol

What an amazing season so far. I don't care how stoked people were about Chip coming here, no one-I mean, NO ONE could have guessed that going into week 15 the birds would be the #3 seed in the NFC :o and alone at the top of the division. Chip would get my vote for COY. The balance, attitude, heart this team has is directly attributable to Chip and what he brings to the table.

Love this dude.

It really is awesome. Even in my most optomistic thoughts I didn't see this happening.
Yup. I posted many times I'd be happy with a 6-10 season if they were playing better in December than they were in September. Well, needless to say I'm pretty happy.

Everything about this season has been entertaining. From Chip's introduction, the QB battle in camp, the opening game against Washington ( :excited: ) and now watching this coaching staff transform the team on a weekly basis.

Yeah Reid's got it locked up. He's always been a national media darling. How much does it cheese off some of them though how successful Kelly's been so far this year? Reid was responsible for the shipwreck Kelly inherited and in 1 season has turned into a strong playoff contender.

And yes, nice to see a coach who can change a game plan on the fly instead of forcing his system in an unwinnable situation.

The Joe Webb effect is there but that was the old coaching staff. This staff combined with the few guys still around from that debacle should make it so the Eagles come out and blow the Vikings away on Sunday.

I had the overs that day. In fact, 93% of the O/U bettors had the over that day. Kind of curious how neither team suddenly couldn't do much offensively that Sunday. Just sayin'. :coffee:
