*** 2013 Official Philadelphia Eagles - NFC EAST CHAMPS*** (3 Viewers)

The gifts just keep on coming: Sean Lee out for Sundays game.

Schefter: Cowboys LB Sean Lee is out this week.

6:57pm - 25 Dec 13
McCoy is smiling some where right now.
Good bet to set both franchise rushing and combined yards no?
McCoy should break Wilber's single season record for rushing and maybe Westbrook's total yardage record. The team should also set the yardage record as well.

DJax needs 106 yards to break Quick's single season record for receiving yards. It'd be cool to see all of those records fall during Chip's rookie season.

..and against the 'Boys as well.

Blind guess: Eagles in 2000, then Eagles again 2009.
Certainly in 09. I would assume not 00, otherwise the stat would be given as just once since 01.

Who won the week 17 game to win the division a couple years ago between nyg and dal? Was that Eli's second Super Bowl run?

It was 2009 and 2010, both over the Eagles, though only the first one actually had something on the line (iirc, it decided who was going to be at home the following week in the round 1 re-match).

Eskin just had some stats this morning.

Since circa 1980, when the Cowboys let up 28 pts or more they are 20-110. The Eagles are averaging 35 ppg on the road this year.

just announced on 97.5 the Fanatic-Tony romo had back surgery and is OUT for week 17 game. Orton gets the start and Kitna will be backing him up.

Some interesting tidbits:

* Since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970, no team has had the league's rushing champ and top-rated passer in the same season. But the Eagles are close to pulling it off. With a 189-yard lead over the Chiefs' Jamaal Charles heading into Week 17, LeSean McCoy has the rushing title all but wrapped up. Nick Foles has a 5.8-point lead over the Broncos' Peyton Manning for the passing title. Foles has a 118.8 passer rating, Manning 113.0. Currently, Foles has the third-highest passer rating in NFL history, behind only Aaron Rodgers' 122.5 in 2011 and Manning's 121.1 in 2004.

* Foles owns the league's top passer rating against the blitz. He has a 126.3 rating when opponents have sent extra rushers after him, completing 61.7 percent of his attempts, averaging 9.5 yards per attempt and throwing eight TDs and no interceptions. The Saints' Drew Brees is second at 113.0, followed by the Titans' Ryan Fitzpatrick (104.6) and the 49ers' Colin Kaepernick (103.9). Foles also leads the league in third-down passing with a 112.5 rating. He has a 121.1 rating in the red zone that includes a .688 completion percentage, 13 TDs and no interceptions.

* McCoy's rushing average gets better as the game goes on. He is averaging 4.3 yards per carry in the first quarter, 4.8 in the second, 5.3 in the third and 6.4 in the fourth.

* When Foles hit Riley Cooper for a 5-yard touchdown in the first quarter against the Bears, it was just the fourth time this season the Eagles had scored on their first possession. The Eagles defense hasn't given up first-possession points in the last 10 games.

* The Eagles are sixth in the league in run-play percentage. They've run the ball on 466 of their 988 offensive plays, or 47.2 percent of the time. In the previous 10 seasons under Andy Reid, the Eagles were ranked higher than 22nd in run-play percentage just once (14th in 2011), and never had a higher run rate than 43.3 percent.

* In their last four games, the Eagles have held opponents to 2.9 yards per carry and have given up just seven double-digit-yard runs in 109 carries, none longer than 12 yards. On 27 of those 109 carries, they held opponents to zero or negative yards. They are third in the league in yards allowed per carry (3.8). The one thing that Romo's injury has done is keep the press from asking the most pressing question:

How is a depleted Dallas defense going to slow down the Eagles' offense?

These are the two biggest data points on this list, IMO. If can run the ball AND stop the run, you can succeed deep into the playoffs.

The Philly area feels a but too confident to be honest.

I'm nervous. This has all the makings of an unexplainable collapse.
I hear you man but this is totally different team / mindset than what we have had in years past. All my evaluations of the game, ( and I am keeping it conservative ) says we will steam roll Dallas. Time to play the game as I am tired of talking about it.

If not for the Minnesota game being only 2 weeks ago, I'd say you're right. That is so fresh in all of the player's minds let alone the fans. There's no way the coaches or players are not taking this 100% seriously.

:goodposting: This. Took the words out of my mouth. You're for sure right w/o that minny game... If Dallas wins, it's because they straight out beat us, our team is going to be focused and not even remotely take a win for granted like we might have vs Minny. Our offense has been pretty consistent even through our wins and losses, its been our D that is so hit or miss that is causing these wins/losses. The D is gonna show up and fly all over the field I think.

That Minni game is a blessing in disguise methinks.

HOW THE HELL DID MATHIS NOT MAKE THE PRO BOWL?!
Kelce and Jones too.

Plus, Manning is the only QB who you justify unquestionably selecting ahead of Foles. All the others including Wilson? Please! 118 rating leading the league and 25 TDs to 2!! Picks. Foles should have been the slam dunk second QB chosen.

Popularity contest. Peters was taken because that's the name people know. Not that worried about it.

Ya I think Peters deserved it though, he's been great this year and healthy for once! It just sucks for Mathis to get the snub two years in a row, I hope it doesn't discourage him at all!

Yeah you do have a point as he has had hammy issues in the past. It is nice to see him 100% healthy. I give a ton of credit to Chip's sports science and training program.

My sister got my stepson Playoff tickets for Christmas. Really good seats. He didn't open the gift until yesterday,

I thought he was going to faint

i'm sitting here watching the bowl game and wishing we were 1-14 and sitting in a spot to draft teddy bridgewater.

oh well. go nick foles!!

I don't have that kind if discipline. Getting ready already as I am looking at this game as a party game. Gonna be a little rowdy tomorrow.

Jesus this whole waiting thing is for the birds. LETS GET IT ON!!!!

Statement game for Chip, Foles and the whole team. I think they get out early and keep their foot on Dallas' throat all game. That cowboy defense is god-awful and monte is used to getting his ### handed to him by Chip. Eagles should score and score a lot. 40-16 type of game.
