Once again as usual and for no discernible reason here's my annual NFL predictions. Feel free to add your own as they'll probably be more right than mine:

AFC EAST

NE 11-5

MIA 7-9

BUF 5-11

JETS 4-12 (At some point Rex is going to lose this team - he's almost actually like he wants to lose it)

AFC NORTH

CINC 12-4 (feels like this should be flipped with Baltimore but I'll have a little faith)

BALT 11-5 (subtractions put them here)

PITT 8-8 (no idea what to do with this team)

CLEV 6-10

AFC SOUTH

HOU 11-5

IND 10-6

JAX 5-11 (Gabbert sucks slightly less this year)

TEN 5-11

AFC WEST

OAK 2-14 (at least this time around they'll finally have the picks to rebuild with)

NFC EAST

DAL 10-6

WASH 9-7

GIANTS 8-8

PHIL 6-10 (heck all 4 of 'em could finish with identical 8-8 records)

CHI 9-7 (worse record but they make playoffs on tiebreaker)

DET 6-10

MIN 5-11 (another team that's hard to gauge - think they regress a little)

ATL 11-5 (could be much better than that though)

NO 9-7

CAR 7-9

TB 5-11

SF 12-4

SEA 11-5

STL 7-9

ARIZ 4-12 (improvement won't show up in win total yet)

And Peyton rides off into the sunset Elway-style.

So there you go!

I like it, only comment is on AFC South, I think Indy comes out firing and never let's up while I expect Houston to take a back seat. I just don't trust Schaub anymore. Would love a Denver-Indy AFC Championship game. Denver needs to weather the storm early with their defense as a question mark with suspensions and all, they can and will need to score a ton to win the early games. If they come out .500 or better once the suspension lifts, I like them to go all the way as well.

Thanks - as always folks are welcome to put in their own full predictions :) (few, if any, seem to take me up on this)

is there ay reason to believe that Dallas will be 10-6? isn't this the same team as last year that finished 8-8?

Oh the division is a crap shoot for sure. Perhaps the most compelling reason to see them win 10 is that they go against the AFC West.

Nice work QG, couple things I see slightly differently,

NFC EAST

NYG -10-6 Seems like whenever the Giants are bad, the next season is usually solid.

DAL - 9-7

WAS -7-9 IF RG3 is healthy all year they battle the Giants for the top spot.

PHI - 6-10

NFC NORTH

GB - 10-6 Dom Capers will probably cost them at least 2 games, he stinkith.

CHI - 9-6

MIN - 7-9 Bad QB, Best RB in the NFL this year equals watching the playoffs from home.

DET - 6-10

NFC SOUTH

NO - 11-5 I like Brees and the offense to be rollin this year, defense will be a little improved.

ATL- 10-6 Have not really looked at their schedule

TB - 6-10 Hey, at least they are better than Carolina!

CAR - 5-11

NFC WEST

SF - 12-4 I hope not, but they seem really good.

SEA - 10-6 umm same thing.

STL - 7-9

ARI - 5-11 Carson helps... some.

AFC EAST

NE - 12-4 BB and Brady are still awesome, and the division sucks.

BUF - 7-9 CJ is good

MIA - 7-9 probably giving them to many wins.

NYJ - 4-12 w/Sanchez 1-15 w/Smith

AFC NORTH

BAL- 10-6

CIN - 9-7 Marvin Lewis in cannibalized in Cincy.! :X

PIT - 8-8

CLE - 5-11 Their still $#1TTY!

AFC SOUTH

HOU - 11-5 (could this be their year?) Maybe

IND - 10-6 Luck into the playoffs? It could happen.

TEN - 6-10 (Locker is not the answer) Agreed

JAX - 6-10 (agree they might not be quite as bad) double agree

AFC WEST

DEN - 12-4 Peyton and a bunch of talented guys that can catch.. need I say more?

SD - 7-9 I think they do slightly better than everyone expects.

KC - 6-10 worse than SD

OAK - 3-13 They hope Sanchez starts all season.

you're either missing 3 wins (Sanchez scenario) or 6 wins (Geno scenario) :)

And playoffs as well :)

I guess I should be used to people under estimating the Vikings by now. Happens every year. Yet somehow they have made the playoffs the 3rd most times since the merger.... and have the 8th highest winning percentage of any team in history http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/ in a division with the the #1 Bears and #4 Packers...

If only the Bears were not so much improved with Trestman and their offensive line. They are going to be very difficult to beat this season. The most balanced overall team in the division.

NFC Norse-

Bears 11-5

Vikings 10-6

Packers 9-7

Lions 6-10

Good luck to the AFC North. Your guys are going to need it this year facing the black and blue.

I was getting mildly infuriated by the lack of love for the Bears this season. Then low and behold, a Vikings fan comes along and predicts them to win the North. Hats off to you sir. The North is just plain and simple, a tough, tough division. Bears and Vikings brethren can always reach agreement on one thing though, and that's just don't the Packers in the playoffs. I can no longer tolerate Rodgers' TD championship belt celebration.

NFC EAST

DAL - 9-7 (Win tie-breaker, save Garrett's job)

NYG - 9-7 (Never know what tp make of this team)

WAS - 7-9 (Haven't fixed secondary, tougher schedule)

PHI - 5-11

NFC NORTH

GB - 12-4

CHI - 10-6 (Trestman keeps them humming)

MIN - 8-8 (Even AP can't keep this pace up...I think)

DET - 5-11 (Schwartz will go)

NFC SOUTH

NO - 11-5 (Nice schedule, they get all the breaks this year to make up for last)

ATL - 10-6 (Bad O-line catches up with them, mediocre D doesn't help)

TB - 9-7 (In contention til another late fade. Schiano petitions for 12 game college length season)

CAR - 5-11

NFC WEST

SEA - 12-4 (Team looks stocked and stoked)

SF - 10-6 (Loss of Crabtree hurts worse than thought. TOUGH schedule)

STL - 7-9

ARIZ - 6-10

AFC EAST

NE - 12-4 (Who needs receivers or felons? Not Brady...at least in regular season)

BUF - 8-8 (playoffs? who said anything about playoffs? The Bills luck into them with Manuel)

MIA - 7-9

NYJ - 2-14 (Over/Under on number of games til Rex is fired - 7)

AFC NORTH

CIN - 10-6 (Marvin Lewis is Canonized)

BAL - 10-6

CLE - 6-10

PIT - 6-10 (the wheels fall off)

AFC SOUTH

HOU - 12-4

IND - 7-9

JAX - 6-10 (Not as bad as usual!)

TEN - 5-11 (Locker is not the answer)

AFC WEST

DEN -13-3

SD - 7-9

KC - 7-9

OAK - 3-13 (they even screw up a horrible season by losing top pick to Jets)

NFC PLAYOFFS

SF over DAL 27-24

NO Over CHI 33-21

SEA over SF 28-16

GB over NO 41-38

SEA over GB 30-21

AFC PLAYOFFS

NE over BAL 27-22

CIN over BUF 35-20

DEN over CIN 33-16

HOU over NE 24-19

DEN over HOU 38-31

Super Bowl

Den over SEA 34-28

Eh, why not.

AFC EAST

NE 10-6 (still easily win the EAST, but I think they regress a bit this year)

MIA 7-9

BUF 6-10

JETS 3-13

AFC NORTH

CINC 11-5 (Probably flipped Bal/Cinc 3 times for who wins this division)

BALT 10-6

CLEV 9-7 (I think they surprise a few people and finish above .500)

PITT 7-9 (Just not seeing it this year as they lose a week 17 to drop below .500)

AFC SOUTH

HOU 11-5

IND 9-7

TEN 7-9 (I think Locker puts it together and has the line/weapons around him, but not enough to put any kind of pressure on HOU)

JAX 3-12

AFC WEST

DEN 12-4

KC 10-6 (they'll surprise some people this year, a lot of talent on that roster and playing SD/OAK x2 helps as they steal the last WC slot)

SD 4-12

OAK 2-14 (Not sure if they'll even win 2 games, they'll switch back to Flynn after an 0 - 5 start)

NFC EAST (Ummm, sure)

DAL 9-7

WASH 8-8

GIANTS 7-9

PHIL 7-9

NFC NORTH

GB 11-5

CHI 9-7 (STL holds the tiebreaker for last WC slot)

MIN 6-10

DET 5-11 (Hate betting against Megatron, but just don't think they'll do well again.)

NFC SOUTH

ATL 10-6 (Think they're a bit overrated, Ten's 1's played pretty well against ATL's 1's)

NO 9-7 (Lose to STL in tiebreaker for last WC slot)

CAR 6-10

TB 6-10

NFC WEST

SF 11-5

SEA 10-6

STL 9-7 (Vastly underrated, and snag the last wildcard spot.

ARIZ 4-12 (I think this is right for them)

AFC: 1) DEN, 2) HOU, 3) NE, 4) CINC 5) BALT, 6) KC

NFC: 1) SF, 2) GB, 3) ATL, 4) DAL, 5) SEA, 6) STL

AFC Wildcard:

New England over Kansas City 31-14

Cincinnati over Baltimore 21-20

AFC Divisional:

New England over Houston 14-13

Denver over Cincinnati 35-24

AFC Championship

Denver over New England 27-21 (As Peyton beats Brady to go to the Super Bowl)

NFC Wildcard:

Atlanta over St. Louis 20-17

Seattle over Dallas 24-10

NFC Divisional

Green Bay over Atlanta 38-31

San Francisco over Seattle 23-19 (In a battle of FGs)

NFC Championship

San Francisco over Green Bay 34-21

Super Bowl XLVIII: San Francisco 27 Denver 13.

I have no idea if those records actually work with the schedule and I'm probably wayy off, and probably a bit too high on the NFC West, but SF/Sea/STL look stout.

Better than I could do...but for some reason I like the Rams and Saints to have sneaky good years this year...maybe not division winning good years - but nice seasons nonetheless. That Rams D could be really good if the offense can do anything. I think Payton back in charge coul dlead Saints back to the top but time will tell.

Eh, why not.

2 wins too many, spin :)

Here's my one guaranteed prediction in this thread: I predict your predictions will be better than mine.

AFC East

NE 13-3 (#2) - It's almost unfair letting the Pats play this group six times.
MIA 6-10
BUF 6-10
NYJ 5-11 - Rex gets fired at mid-season and the team immediately improves.

AFC North
CINC 11-5 (#3) - Clearly the class of this division but I can't bring myself to go higher than 11 wins.
BALT 9-7 (#5) - Knock off the Bengals week 17 to punch their ticket.
PITT 8-8 (#6) - In via the back door after Indy stumbles late. Have I mentioned the AFC stinks?
CLEV 5-11

AFC South
HOU 13-3 (#1) - Edge the Pats in December to claim HFA, not that it'll matter in January.
IND 8-8 - They were an 8-win team last season, too, everywhere but their record.
TEN 6-10
JAX 3-13

AFC West
DEN 11-5 (#4) - Start fast, fade late. No 1998 reprise here.
SD 7-9
KC 6-10 - Turns out Alex Smith isn't all that good, after all.
OAK 2-14 - Teddy Bridgewater, come on down!

NFC East
DAL 9-7 (#4) - Because someone has to win this division.
WAS 9-7
NYG 9-7
PHI 6-10 - I hate this prediction. I think the Eagles will either have 3-4 wins, or 8-9.

NFC North
GB 11-5 (#3) - I feel they should be better than this, but man, the NFC is tough this year.
CHI 8-8 - Cutler goes down, and the Bears' hopes go down with him.
DET 7-9 - Same old Lions.
MIN 6-10

NFC South
NO 11-5 (#2) - Brees finally gets his NFL MVP award.
ATL 11-5 (#6) - One play away from a Super Bowl last year. Won't get that close again.
CAR 9-7 - In the AFC, they'd have a first-round bye. Here, they're outside looking in.
TB 7-9

NFC West
SEA 12-4 (#1) - Either they get HFA and storm to the Super Bowl, or they don't and are one-and-done. I flipped a coin.
SF 11-5 (#5)
STL 8-8 - Again ... put 'em in the AFC and they're a playoff team.
ARZ 3-13 - If I had to put money on one QB going out in Week 1, it'd be Carson Palmer.

AFC WC: Denver over Balt, Cinci over Pitt
AFC Divisional: Houston over Denver, NE over Cinci
AFC Champ: NE 31, Houston 17

NFC WC: GB over Atlanta, SF over Dallas
NFC Divisional: GB over NO, Seattle over SF
NFC Champ: Seattle 30, GB 28

Super Bowl 48: New England 41, Seattle 17 - I hope it doesn't play out this way, but Brady and Belichick are long overdue.

So I got 4 teams' records exactly right and got the correct placement for 15 out of the 32 teams.

I picked 7 out of the 12 playoff teams, 1 in the correct position.

Oh and I had the Falcons in the Super Bowl.

So my record of horrible picking persists :bowtie:
