***2016 MLB Playoff thread: Cubs win for first time since sliced bread hit market (1 Viewer)

I know he's rolling but if they pull him quicker than can use him again sooner in the series.
Doesn't really work that way.  They have to worry about securing tonight's win before worrying about anything else.  Kluber will likely pitch 3 times in this series if needed regardless of whether he goes 5 or 7 innings tonight.  This is the ####### World Series .  They're not worried about his arm.

I saw Kluber's crazy game against the Cards last year, and that's the best he ever looked to me, but this is impressive.  Kluber has more clunkers than the normal ace does so his stats while terrific, aren't Kershaw-like or anything.  But as far as K's, long outings, and the ability to have a two hitter every time out, he's one of the five or six guys that can do it.

Around here that move was analyzed for days afterwards and as the stats came out the decision by Buck to put in Ubaldo and leave both Tillman and Bundy in the pen (despite Tillman warming up like 4 times) looks worse and worse.
Such a tough one to end the season on.  If it was Game 1 of a long series, maybe easier to take. But yeah, that's gonna come up all winter and again during spring training.

Man, taking Kluber out after this inning is really risky.

But I think I like it. Bring him back in game 4.
Or just let him go one more inning tonight and still bring him back for game 4.           At this point in the season, is one extra inning going to make a difference?

I'd let Kluber go up to his normal workload. Keep Miller in reserve if you need him.

Imagine pulling Kluber early, someone finally gets to Miller, you end up losing G1, you wasted your ace's effort, and the Cubs no longer view Miller as unhittable?
