***2016 MLB Playoff thread: Cubs win for first time since sliced bread hit market (1 Viewer)

I argue with friends about this all the time but it doesn't seem right that at any point in the series the team without home field advantage will have played more home games.  I'd much rather be up 3-2 in a series and play the next two games on the road than be down 2-3 and having potentially two home games.

I don't really care a damn who wins the NLCS, but I'd say this thing going 7 is good for the Indians. The Indians making it this far without hitting very well and without Salazar/Carrasco is still a mystery to me (though a certain 8 foot tall bearded man factors in heavily), but either way, they'll face the best team they'll face in the Postseason in the World Series.
This is a good point. I'm not sure why everyone is so excited and congratulating the Indians. They really should be ashamed of themselves for the path they took to get this far.

Except for that part where they had a 3-1 lead and didn't blow it.

What about using Kershaw as your bridge reliever to Jansen in each of the last three games?  Dave Roberts thinks outside the box, I think he should consider it.
What about left field?

yea, that was it.  the stern and immediate "never" response raised an eyebrow
That was pretty funny. A little overboard, but I wouldn't expect anything else from Pete.

I'm pretty sure FS1 already has a show for A-Rod and Rose in production. These two can really dial up the uncomfortable funny situations.

I think MLB should limit the World Series tickets for Cleveland home games to 19,650 to match their regular season average.  Give the rest to Cubs and/or Doyers fans, that'll learn'em.

OK, I take back all of the nice things I said about Dave Roberts' managing. How do you pull Maeda in the fourth inning with two outs and a weak-hitting pitcher due up?

I actually don't mind the move. No way he's getting the top of the order a third time through. He was showing control issues, who knows if he walks or hits Lester. He was lucky to get through four with 1 run.

You seem angry.  I'll have you know I can grow a Rollie Fingers mustache in four days.  Not that you'd know who that is.
Not angry at all.  You seem to think it's a badge of honor to be a baseball nerd and to have a niece who could beat you in an arm wrestling contest.  Congrats.  It's time for you to return to your cousin ####### festival.
