2017 1.01 trade value (1 Viewer)

16 team, dynasty, non-PPR

What is the 2017 1.01 worth out of the following?  AJ Green, Deandre Hopkins, Allen Robinson, Demaryius Thomas.

FYI - This same owner offered me Alshon + Mariota for last year's 1.01 (Zeke) prior to the draft.

I believe the first 3 guys are clustered close together in dynasty value with Thomas lagging significantly.  My thinking is the 1.01 could get any of the first 3 guys or twice the value of Thomas.  Does this seem reasonable?  Am I under- or over-valuing the pick?  What order would you rank the first 3 guys in non-PPR?

Thanks much!

I would think you could get more than one of those guys for the 1.01 pick in the 2017 draft.  That draft has a very high perceived value and it will only get higher as the draft approaches and the shiny new toys start shimmering.

I would rank them exactly in the order you have them (Green, Nuke, AR15, DT) but I would be looking to get more than just one of them.  I would hold the pick for now and look to move closer to the draft as that will maximize the value of the pick.

I would think Green and Hopkins are the most valuable, but I agree with Gally... I don't think i would move 1st overall for either.

Obviously you;re out of the running if you have 1st overall (or did you acquire it?) being in last place... I would stick with the pick!!!

I did trade for it.  I am one of those unfortunate teams with a top 5 potential points rank but a horrible record (2-10 on the season).  I attribute it to a collection of guys who are good enough to go off any week but not very predictably.  I traded a few of those types for the 1.01 to hopefully alleviate that issue.

Well, I guess it depends on the direction you are looking. Green obviously provides a "Right now" ... the 1st provides a future (SO does Hopkins, but I would still prefer the 1.01 to Hopkins until/unless the QB situation gets sorted)

So depends on where you wanna go. I wouldn't say no to the pick for Green of you want an immediate boost (but at 2-10 ... wait how are you 2-10 in week 10???? ... I think you would still be better served with that pick)

Yeah, the record is weird because the commish has this idea that its cool to have the same number of games as the NFL, so we get 3 doubleheader weeks.  As far as why I want these players, I generally prefer known entities even to highly rated rookies.

I dunno Hopkins and a mid 1st for 1st overall is a fair deal for both parties, so if you shun picks, it's not bad. I would probably hold it still though. You could get an "Elliot" with that pick....

He offered Hopkins and a 2017 mid-1st-round pick.  Is there still more to be had than that?
Like I said before, the 2017 First overall pick will get more and more valuable as the draft approaches.  Shiny new toys always fetch good return before they have played and everyone has best case scenarios dancing through their heads.  I don't see any reason to be in a rush to trade that pick away especially since you are out of it for this year already.

I would sit tight and let people know you would be willing to move it for the right deal.  After the season ends and the draft is approaching everyone will be in love with that pick and you will be able to maximize value.  Hopkins and a mid 1st is not the best you will be offered.

Yes, for the reasons outlined by Gally.  Hopkins is a great talent but it looks like the situation isn't that great in the short term....as Osweiler sucks.  The 2017 class is loaded and the mid 1st will get you a good prospect, but the 1.01 could get you an elite talent for years to come.

It's not a terrible offer, but you sold at midpoint and didn't maximize value.
