2020 College football thread - It's the offseason, yo. (3 Viewers)

You don't get it.... still

UF gave up after the 1st turnover.  They have 2 practice squad relievers out there and 2 blocking tight ends to replace pitts.   We switched over to the basketball game once mullen played Jones more than 2 plays at qb.  No one gave a s*** and yes its irritating as a fan.

35 points? No.  But not giving a crap after the 1st 2 series?  One team cares. One doesn't.   SEC SEC.

Whose fault is that? Play or don't play.

No SEC team has ever lost a bowl game that they cared about. True story.

Man fl is in trouble.

But I'm sad so many good players chose the opt out route instead of playing one last game for their school and teammates.

Maybe this big win will make okl feel better about their joke top program

Haven't won anything in 20 years

Sooners are the dallas cowboys of college football.

Enjoy that big time win

Too bad OU lost that KSU game, the #3 and #4 seeds would have been interesting drama.

Has the line moved for Clemson post-Elliot news?

Just checking in to see how many Florida whiners are talking about how they didn't care about the game. Not disappointed! I heard the SEC has never lost a game that wasn't on purpose.

Ah, yes. The SEC refrain. But we didn't care . . .

I'm perfectly happy with how the season went. An early slap in the face to the superstar frosh QB to show him it's earned, not annointed. And not getting rolled by Bama or Clemson in the semi if they'd squeaked into the playoffs. Now if they can just convince Perkins, Winfrey,  Stevenson & Humphrey to return they might just be able to make it to the playoffs and stay on the field next year.

OU had a great season for a freshman QB. still not ready to face Bama. A lot of work to do on both sides of the ball.  OU will lose some WRs just too many.  Hopefully the Sooners stay off the Mary Jane and can play an entire season next year.  Good win tonight.
Even if Haselwood goes, I think they'll be fine with Mims, Bridges, Wease, Rambo, Stoops and Stogner.

Goes to NFL or transfers? Interested dynasty owner. Mims looks like someone I should be considering as well after this year.
Some rumors he's thinking about transferring. He came back late in the season from injury but chose not to play in the bowl game. Didn't give a reason.

I don't understand this. Tulsa has a 4&7. Decides to go for it. Calls a pass play. QB in the pocket. It's collapsing. QB decides to eat it rather than chucking it downfield and letting a WR try to make a play. Why?

Between the Covid nonsense, Darth Vader costume, brawling, and now this....he’s not had a good year personally.
I’ve been telling my gator friend he doesn’t seem...well. I don’t know, guy seems perpetually out to lunch. Strange dude.

@AnwarRichardson: Hearing Texas senior QB Sam Ehlinger will skip his extra year of eligibility and enter the NFL Draft. Waiting for Ehlinger to make an official announcement.

I don’t watch much college football anymore

was that ejection worthy?
Crown of the helmet, out of bounds, and the player with the ball already down, so I’d say yes

eta - missed it live, only saw replay. Maybe not forceful enough for ejection but def flag-worthy

Extreme they don’t want to be there warnings with a 70% chance of we were just trying out our backups in Atlanta and Orlando right now

Yeah, the lineman was stupid and deserved the ejection.  He just lost his head though - no intent to inured anybody.  But they can’t gauge intent and I think they are doing the right thing with these calls.  Imagine if that DB had a whiplash concussion on that play.
