2021 Shark Strategy for PPR Redraft by Draft Positions 9-12 (1 Viewer)

Duh, I misread it as "ARob" not "ARod". Yeah, that's a stretch for Rodgers. My planning for QBs is to take value if its there. But if there's a run, just settle back and plan on taking one of the 10-12 guys (Tann, Hurts, Stafford) much later and maybe with pairing with a young upside guy (Trevor, Burrow, Lance, Fields, or even Winston)
Exactly my plan. Best value everywhere else.

My draft is happening right now. I hate looking at the screen in between my picks (just makes me anxious seeing all the guys I like get taken, and I just like to soak in what's there when it's my turn). Anyway, here's how I started from the 10 spot:

R1 Saquon, R2 Kelce, R3 Lamb, R4 Swift, R5 Henderson, R6 Aiyuk

This is a heck of a start. Hopefully Barkley is the man.

I am hoping for something from the 10 like Adam-Harris-Lamb and thinking Allen in the 4.03 might be the pick.  Allows me to have an advantage over most at WR1 and QB.

In my experience, Davante rarely makes it to 10.  But Kelce/Harris/lamb/Allen would be a really, really nice start if your QB scoring is robust enough to justify it.
personally I grab a 2nd RB or WR in the 4th and wait on a QB.

Do you take Barkley at 9 over Jones, Ekeler or Gibson in PPR?
I probably rank it

Jones

-

-

Gibson

Barkley

Eke

bur that’s me. Eke has risk of his own. Jones is gonna beast out & get catches regardless of what Dillon does. Gibson is somewhat predictable and lesser risk.

AJones going too 8 most of the time.

Solid. Get another RB ASAP. Maybe a couple. And pray. A lot.

Grabbed J white as flex play... if his RB16 workload when burkheadless holds up he'll be a contributor.

Happy with a Gibson / Mixon / Mostert core in a start 1 RB league though.

When you go Stud TE in the first few rounds it will cost you at either RB/WR, sadly. No way around that

Had my draft last night from the 11 hole - 12 team PPR.

1.11 J. Taylor

2.02 Najee

3.11 Cee Dee

4.02 Chris Carson (didn’t really plan to take RB here as we can ONLY play 2 RB’s in this league, but couldn’t pass up the value)

5.11 Lockett

6.02 Aiyuk

7.11 Fant

8.02 Tannehill

then the rest

I thought Lockett and Carson were both good values and not guys I had targeted at all. Overall I’m pretty happy with it.

Looks like one of my drafts...targeting all these players except Carson, and I don't really mind Carson.  I do like Logan Thomas more than Fant, but that's nitpicking.

Interesting you say that. Logan Thomas went right before I picked Fant. And Hockenson and Stafford went a few picks earlier too and I probably would have taken both of them over Fant and Tannehill, but you get what you get and you don't throw a fit, as my mom used to say...

Bummer, Fant has the higher ADP.

I love Kelce or Saquon in this range. Kelce with that massive advantage over other TEs and Saquon with top 3 upside.
I'm liking Ekeler as well.  Think he has top 1 upside with the new OC

In a 12 team FFPC dual flex who would go RB RB RB RB?

like

1) A Jones

2) J Taylor

3) D Montgomery

4)  D Swift

thoughts? Hate WR available except Lockett and Mahomes could be an option?

Decided to jump in a league and got 12 position (12 team PPR). I really don't have a strategy. Looked at some mock drafts from 12 spot

Went Kelce and Jonathan Taylor first 2 picks. Really wanted to go Kelce and WR but the RB downgrades at next turn are far worse than the WR ones.

Just finished 12 team ppr form the 10 spot

start qb 2rb 3wr te flex

1.10  Adams  (WR1)

2.03  Diggs  (WR3)

3.10  Carson  (RB17)

4.03 Jacobs  (RB19)

5.10 Andrews (TE5)

6.03 Hunt  (RB26)

7.10 Herbert  (QB10)

8.03 Deebo  (WR34)

9.10 Michael Thomas  (WR 39)

10.03 James White  (RB38)

11.10 Hines  (RB45)

12.03 Davante  (WR52)

13.10 McKissic (RB53)

14.03 Butker  (K2)

15.10 Gronk (TE17)

16.03 Denver  (DST 9)

17.10 TyJohnson (RB67)

18.03 Carr  (QB25)

Draft from 8/28. PPR, Superflex. start 3 WR.

9: Ekeler, Diggs, McLaurin, D. Henderson

10: Jones, Gibson, Kittle, A Robinson

11: (me): Hill, Kelce, R. Wilson, D. Montgomery

12: Chubb, Barkley, K. Allen, C. Kupp

I tend to get lucky at RB in this league and will need to again this year to have a chance at winning my division, but I probably should make the playoffs.

Draft from 9/2. FFPC rules.

9: Hill, Zeke, Gaskin, Edmonds

10: Barkley, Chubb, J. Allen, A Robinson

11: (me): Jones, Waller, AJ Brown, J. Jacobs

12: Ekeler, Diggs, Evans, Hockenson

This league has a few really bad drafters. My team ended up way better than it should have, but I really liked my first 3 rounds.

Draft that just started. Not PPR, but first down scoring instead. start 2 WR. RB is king.

9: Jones, Mixon

10: Gibson, N. Harris

11: Hill, Barkley

12 (me): Ekeler, Kelce

I am known for getting the top TE in this league, but only when they are so clearly a difference maker over the rest at the position. Before Gronk and Kelce I was typically a round 6 or later TE guy. I would have only taken one of Kelce or Hill. Probably would have went with Mixon if Ekeler wasn't available.

IMO your first 5 rounds couldn't have gone much better. Adams falling to 10 & Diggs falling to the early 2nd, and both Carson & Jacobs making it to you offset the lack of elite RB. And you still got a premium TE.

Nice build from 10. I had several mocks from there that went similar to this, though I never got Adams, and it usually went Diggs/Jefferson, or Diggs/Ridley 1-2. Obv I like yours better than that.

These are all excellent examples of drafting from the 9-12

Your Jones, Waller, AJ Brown, J. Jacobs is really solid, but I don't really mind any of your teams.

In the Hill, Kelce, R. Wilson, D. Montgomery build, that it's SF makes the Wilson pick pretty solid. Curious who was there at RB/WR/TE in the 3rd?  Regardless, great value on Kelce.

What I wound up with:

Not a big follower of fantasy football anymore but think have ok team. Had planned to actually go WR-WR but given how draft went, kinda glad I didn't. 13 of first 18 picks were RB. I'd be looking at Miles Sanders as my RB1 and likely one of Gaskin-Damien Harris-Jacobs as RB2  Looking back at the draft board there's really not a whole lot I'd go back and change. Might have grabbed some WR ahead of their ADP but confident in saying how our draft went they wouldn't have made it back to me.

Drafted almost the whole TB passing offense. Actually could have had it if I wanted it. Decided against taking Evans.

QB: Hurts (10) / Lawrence (14)

RB: Taylor (2) / M.Sanders (4) / Gio (12) / J.White (13)  / Hines (11) & Mack (18) / Gainwell (17)

WR: Godwin (3) / OBJ (5) / Antonio Brown (6) / Boyd (7) / Landry (8) / Hardman (9)

TE: Kelce (1) / Gronk (16)

Def: 49ers (15)

K: None yet
