Am I the only one who has noticed how poor the 2021 draft looks? 2022 is looking solid right now, but 2021 looks worse than this year's by far.

By the time January 2020 comes along, this thread title will need to change to the 2020 draft is nothing compared to the 2021 draft.

I will admit I started this thread while in the middle of a devy/rookie draft and saw that other than a couple of players, 2021 looks grim. Is it so absurd to look 2 years ahead? Didn't everyone have an idea that 2019 would be weak in 2017?

Dunno about 2021, but the 2028 draft is LOADED.  Shark move is trading everything for 2028 picks.

I think 2021 looks WAY better than this year at the top of the draft.  It might be better than 2020 at the superflex 1.01 and 1.02 if both Lawrence and Ross continue on their paths.  Ingram and Moore are looking like studs too

It's probably too early to know how deep it is.

On a serious note, theres a reasonable explanation for this perception

2019 seemed to have some pretty good wr talent, which means there are many 2021 players who havent had their opportunity

2020 is supposedly "loaded" at both wr and rb. so, naturally, 2021 players arent getting an opportunity because of these guys either.

So I'd say 2021 is probably inconclusive/unknown rather than "poor." Cant blame these kids for being stuck behind "studs" or higher regarded recruits

To "yes and" what Dan said, there are a few that look just as good as anyone in 2020 and better than anyone in 2019 by a good margin.

While many will probably declare, I expect there will be some draft eligible for 2020 that stick around for another year.  This year there were a couple of high profile players like Justin Herbert and Collin Johnson that passed on it.

Very true. - and Bryan Edwards too.  If some of those 2020 players don't declare or are injured, it pushes them into 2021...
