2025 NASCAR Thread - 24FORSURE is running away with the fantasy leeg (1 Viewer)

Originally had Chase Elliott in my lineup but took him out after qualifying. :wall:

You never know in these type of races when the big one will come or who it takes out . It was a good race though.

Guess I won't be getting that million dollars. Only got nine right out of sixteen matchups.

Not a good week. I also was unaware it was a Saturday night race. D'oh!

That being said, what a great race that was. Haven't watched a race that exciting in quite some time.

2 good weeks in a row for Baylor Kid Go Fast.

Weird race with so many of the field crashing out.

John’s lead in the Leeg decreased by 43 points (210 point lead last week, down to 167 after Atlanta).

2 road courses coming up, so get your specialist ready.

Regarding Atlanta, Jeff Gluck, reporter for the Athletic, does a simple “was it a good race yes or no” poll, with 37k votes Atlanta was 90.5% yes. Last year’s Atlanta with the 3 wide slim margin of victory race was a 94.8% percent yes. So as Snogger said Atlanta should be a case study in repave for this Next Gen car.

Michigan was the highest rated race so far in 2025 with 92.2% yes, it was a good race.

Might be the last year for Chicago with NASCAR working on a street race for San Diego or Coronado.

Interesting with Brad K, Elliot, and Bowman up front. Guys that have won in a while but were in it with so much of the field out. That said Elliot has had a good finish year, but not winning stages or leading a bunch of laps.

i’ll be at Sonoma this weekend, but I just met and hung out with Doug Richert!!! I had no idea who he was in person, but when they said his name, I drooled like a kid. so stoked to take pictures with him too.
Always wanted to go there when Jeff Gordon was racing but never made it. Would have visited his winery too.
My wife was a big Jeff Gordon fan and we did meet him at Martinsville one year at a Pepsi meet and greet. She had submitted a question to the moderator about his new daughter Ella and Jeff replied to it. Jeff then looked at her and asked if she had any other questions. That was the first time I ever saw her speechless. Later, her friend said she would have asked of she could have his next baby.

Have a great time !

Van Gisburgen's dominance on road courses is very impressive. There have been specialists for as long as there have been road courses. Guys like Allmendinger, Montoya, Ambrose, Robby Gordon and Boris Said were always near the front but didn't win every time out like SVG has. It's even more noteworthy because Cup regulars have stepped up their twisties game from back in the day when it was just Sears Point and the Glen on the calendar.

Really cool to see Trackhouse grow and become a contender. Justin Marks is really impressive.

His teammate Connor Zilisch may be SVG's biggest challenger unless Penske reassigns Scott McLaughlin to the #2.
