2025 NASCAR Thread - FBG fantasy league has a new leader (2 Viewers)

Thoughts on the upcoming weekend of racing?

Penske penalties
Larson’s double
Shwartzman
Heads had to roll. Shocking that they say the car that won last year had the same modifications.

It would be an amazing feat, but to me it just lowers the chance that you could win either race .

I don't really follow Indy car racing, but it seems like qualifying there is not often such a surprise.

The race is on prime? Lol gl with that
Came home from the day's "fun" (daughter and fam moved home!) and thought I'd catch the finish for some down time, but no. Whatev, it's not enough of a draw, I'll tune into NBA instead, and I loathe the NBA.

I hate it is only on Prime, but it has been an intriguing race between Byron and Hamlin.
Byron has won the first 3 stages and won one by about 8seconds.
But Hamlin and team found something so should be good to the end.

So much for Larson doing the double as he wrecked in both. I did not have high hopes for that so I left him out of my lineup.

I don't watch Nascar as much as I used to but I like the coverage on Prime. A lot less commercials and the ability to ride in the car of a lot of the drivers. I believe I would watch more if they were always on Prime.

1st place this weekend. Starting to build momentum after a bad start to the season.
Im screen shoting the standings this week so I can see if point leads are shrinking or growing. You’ve had clean air for a while now. Some passing in the middle of the pack. Definitely have two lines developed. Bell’s blown an engine or maybe is just a broken a toe link.

I only won the race last week. 24FORSURE us running away with it right now. 200 points ahead of the rest of us.

I'm actually loving this on Prime. Broadcast is good and I can actually watch it which is wonderful.

Also love the constant side by side for commercials. Been wondering why they can't do it that way my whole life lol.
My only problem is being "stuck" watching it.
Some races get boring in the middle so like to be able to switch back and forth between the race and some other station.
But with Prime it takes too long to switch out and back in.

Also, you can only take Earnhardt's nasal southern drawl for so long. :yucky:

Jeff Gordon would be happy

Went to the races in Charlotte over the memorial weekend. My first time.

What a wonderful experience. Probably be at the one in CT and Richmond.
Richmond is a nice track. Small enough that you see everything from any seat. I always liked to sit near turn three because that is where most of the wrecks used to happen. They don't seem to wreck these newer cars as much .

I’m going to Richmond as well this year — doing both the truck series race on Friday and the big race on Saturday.

I went to the Charlotte Roval race last year, which was a good time, but hard to see a lot from where we were seated.

So I’m a very new fan. I remember the Dale Earnhardt years and how popular he was. I vaguely remember Jr leaving and there was drama but not much more.

One of the reoccurring themes is how “unemotional” Dale was and how his kids didn’t feel like he cared or believed in them.

I mean they feel how they feel but from the documentary Dale seemed incredibly proud and happy for them. He seemed jovial and smiled a lot and showed plenty of emotion.

Makes me want to talk to my kids to be sure I’m not missing something.

Good week d for Baylor Kid Go Fast.
Unfortunately the gap behind John widened by 14 points over 2nd.

John had a 223 point lead last week (2564-2341)

This week is 237 point gap (2769-2532).

I wish you could see how many times the rest of the league can start the drivers, I know I’m getting short on a couple of guys and am assuming we will see some score variance soon.
