2025 NASCAR Thread - FBG fantasy league has a new leader (1 Viewer)

I don't think this is the last of Byron vs. Logano.. Logano outright admitting he hit Byron on purpose was  ... Figured he'd give some excuse of "he checked up and I wasn't ready" .. Next week Kansas.. Usually a boring race but......

I don't think Byron put Logano into the wall earlier so I feel like Logano was full of #### on that. That being said Byron looked like he slowed down a lot before Logano ran into him.  It looked like he didnt have a choice almost

That was so much fun to see Daniel  Suárez  FINALLY get the victory he so deserved. Watching the other racers congratulating him was great...

Probably my 2nd favorite victory to watch,  after Dale Sr.'s Daytona 500 win of course.

Hello my fellow FBGers! I come in peace with a simple request. I am not a NASCAR fan and know very little about any drivers/teams accept Tom Cruise and Days of Thunder. I also like the Pepsi commercial/spoof, “Test Drive” with Jeff Gordon!

Actually, I used to root for Mark Martin because he helped a troubled “youth” I knew years ago (late 90’s/early 2000’s) and allowed him to help on his pit crew at races.

Other than that, I know very little. Anyways, I just found out a buddy of mine has a pretty cool hobby that I thought you all might like and it would help him to. He reproduces NASCAR replicas. He has a YouTube channel he has not promoted at all. He has about 740 subscribers and I would like to see him get up to 1,000.

If you have a minute check out his page and subscribe if you like.

Thanks Good Buddy’s!

I know most teams probably cheat here and there, but this one seems different. Hard to cheer for a team that blatantly cheats. Too bad NASCAR didn't get the chance to inspect the 19 and 20.

Meanwhile, I am running away with this trophy!  :drive:

Daytona. Austin Dillon in 16th. Top 15 crash and he is in the lead and possibly the win as it is pouring down rain.
Long weather delay. Will restart at 4:10

That was a wicked end.. Out of 37 cars, I think only 15 or 16 were running the last 40 laps.. And of those only 10 to 12 were competitive.
Was glad to see Austin win after that long delay, although hated seeing Martin miss the playoffs :drive:

Freaking crazy. I suspect that will be against the rules in the future.

Apparently In NASCAR 2005 for the GameCube, there was a known move where you turned off damage and then rode those exact walls at that track for an advantage. Chastain played the game as a kid and said afterwards that he was aware of that move and figured why not. Crazy.

Awesome

He had two choices: sit and miss the next round or do something crazy and leave it all out on the track. The look on Hamlin's face after was priceless.

This year just felt like a different type of season. The veterans want to keep things traditional while the younger guys are willing to do whatever it takes to win.

You get to have a nice season for doing that in iRacing.

the drivergroupgame.com site we used the past few years has been revamped but Darren is asking for a $5 donation to use the site. I appreciate his efforts but that's more than the entire payout for this league.

If there's interest it looks like the official NASCAR game supports private leagues. I don't know if Yahoo still does racing games.

Yahoo stopped supporting fantasy NASCAR years ago.

It looks like the NASCAR.com site is our best option. I have no idea how its set up and entries don't open until Tuesday.

Single car qualifying on a super speedway isn't the most exciting thing but I'm missing on-track action on the Sunday before the 500.

The NASCAR official fantasy game is very basic. It doesn't have the driver tiers of the sites we used in the past.

I know it's a short turnaround to the first race. If people want to join after Daytona, I think I can adjust their scores manually so newcomers aren't starting with zero.

Let me know. I was tied of this week with more important things (daughter is a Michigan State student) and didn't see this until today.

I had to record the race because we were driving back from seeing our daughter. I am always really careful with recordings to make sure there is enough run-over time so I don't miss something. HOWEVER--I watch the four hours of the race and right as it got to 2 laps to go, it shut off. I can't tell you how :mad: I was. If there is a wreck to be had, Stenhouse will be involved in it somehow.....

Thoughts on Chastain?

I'm primarily an open-wheel fan where Chastain's over-aggressive driving wouldn't be tolerated for obvious reasons. NASCAR has banned wall riding and melon smashing but seems OK with letting 'em race. Hope nobody gets hurt.

Talented driver though.
