Listening on the radio, Hugh Douglas relayed some concerning conversations he's had with current players in the last day or so. Basically he said that he texted a few guys on the team that he's friends with to inquire about whats going on with AJ Brown. Said he immediately got a bunch of calls back from these players that told him they weren't going to touch that. He said that his sense in talking to these guys was that whatever the problem is, its bigger than football. And that at least one of the guys said, "hey man, its BAD bad."
The assumption here is that its a continuation of the broken relationship with Jalen that BG spoke out about last year. This is starting to smell like some Donovan/TO type stuff, except that they at least were able to look past the personal problems and produce on the field. If these guys can't work through whatever this is, it has the potential to derail this season.
That’s basically what I’ve heard. The relationship between Hurts and AJ is shattered. No one like I said before the season even wants to touch on what the issue/s was/were that happened between the 2, where it’s at the point you figured it must be really bad if no one is talking about it. It seems that Hurts has tried to work things out but talking to a wall at this point. I’ll be shocked if AJ Brown is on the Eagles Roster come training camp in 2026 yet alone opening day.
Most people who have said anything did say for BG to speak like he did publicly last year tells you how bad it is if you are anywhere near that team. There’s only a few guys in there who could do what BG did outting it publicly and both are now retired (other obviously Kelce) and BG was talking and calling out AJ more so then Hurts but didn’t want it to look like he was singling out one guy. Hurts had no issue with it at all.
But yeah it’s BAD. Like bad enough if it wasn’t such a huge cap hit he’d have been gone this past Offseason
