...now by the St. Louis Cardinals' bullpen this season. Unfreakingbelievable. Ludwick did bail them out with a walkoff in the bottom of the 11th tonight, but my goodness, 27 blown saves, and there are still almost two months of baseball left? Pathetic.

And I swear, if Jason Isringhausen continues to pitch for this team, there is gonna be a revolt. He is so awful now, it is beyond words. I still thank God he got hurt in 2006, otherwise the Cardinals probably wouldn't have won the World Series.

Izzy has been horrible, but it's not entirely his fault. Ryan Franklin and his 1.51 WHIP couldn't cut it in the closer's role, Chris Perez isn't ready, Villone and Flores suck, and for some reason the Cards won't try Russ Springer or Kyle McClellan in the role despite those two being the most trustworthy relievers they have.

I'm keeping an eye on the situation for my fantasy team to see if McClellan or Springer get the chance. They might not be ideal, but they're better than Franklin or Izzy at this point.

With last night's 9th inning debacle, Mo, Tony, and Duncan are supposed to meet today. I think they are going to make Wainwright the closer when he gets back. I hate not seeing him start, but he is the only one who can handle the closer's role right now. They need to do something. The bullpen is driving me to drink!
