Also, how do the infected know to not eat each other? I guess it's just one of those things you assume in these movies and suspend your disbelief for, but since we're trying to figure out how the wife got away, it's in play here.

There's some interesting things to be learned in the supplimental material. On the Blu-Ray disc (looks great, BTW) I had, and I'm assuming it's standard, there were two graphic novels made into short clips that talk about how the infected only chase non-infected because they identify them by smell.

Well, when he's running away from the house, they show her in the window getting grabbed/pulled away from the window by multiple infected. Maybe you're right though, maybe they get a quick taste and realize that she's "one of them".

I'll have to watch that scene again. I thought she kind of disappeared and you didn't really see anyone at all taking her back from the window.

I remember her just being there and not being there. For all he knew she was eaten but as it turns out she wasn't. It plays itself out later when the children confront him about lying about seeing mom die. He never saw anything really.I discussed this scene with my SO and we agreed that if that ever happened she'd have to abandon the kid to save ourselves. Also, that neither one of us should try to be heroic and save the other cause we'd both end up dead. Maybe it wouldn't play out that way IRL, but that's our plan for when zombies attack.Also, how do the infected know to not eat each other? I actually made my wife mad at me when we discussed this scene. I told her that the dude had no choice, if he tried to save her they both would have died. She argued vehemently that he should have tried to save her anyway because "you never know, he might be able to save her". I told her that in 99.99% of cases I would try to save her from death if no matter how bad the odds of survival were stacked against me... but in the case of a horde of zombies between me and her, she's on her own.

Also, that kid that delays the wife was completely unbelievable to me. He spent weeks running from infected. He knows the deal. No reason for him to hesitate now and ponder whether or not he should follow the others on their pre-planned escape route.

It don't think it was weeks that he was running. The events in the farmhouse occur sometime during those of 28 Days Later. I think. So, maybe he just panicked.I couldn't get a handle on why the mom & dad sent the kids away. Was it because of the infection? If so, why didn't they go too?

I'd rather it was left to the imagination. Can you imagine how devastating the infection would be if it were unleashed on Europe and Asia as opposed to being confined to an island nation? Yikes.

One thing I didn't understand though is when the infected attack the house and the guy escapes he runs down to the dock and there some dude getting a boat ready like he's going out for a morning fish. Yet, while in the house they talk in hushed tones and have all the windows blocked and here's some bloke outside in the middle of the day doing god knows what to his boat.

The helecopter scene in the field is un-freakin believable , can u say massacre

I cant believe anyone could walk out of that movie disapointed(if your a fan of this genre),it takes zombie movies to a new level(i`m not sure it can even be called a zombie movie,these people are infected with a virus,both dead and alive turn into phycotic killing machines).Nice set up for a third installment also.

I understand what your saying but i have never seen a zombie movie where someone became a zombie by kissing a zombie(saliva exchange)....you HAVE to be dead in order to come back from the dead , this is more of an aids type of situation,blood and and bodily liqiuds.

The father, aka uber zombie, was all over the place. He wasn't 'mindless' in the least. He was able to reason, using his key card to get into doors, etc.

28 Days & Weeks later are right at the top of my favorite post-apocalypse scenario movies. Can't say why, but just awesome stuff. Enjoy!

It's good. I like the first one better primarily because of Cillian Murphy's performance and the isolation/desperation of it all, but two is a solid sequel.

Me too, would be great if Danny Boyle got on this. I don't go to the movies for very much, would definitely go see a "28 Months Later" release.

The scene where the virus breaks out again in Weeks was outstanding. They filmed it perfectly, made you feel the despair the people moved underground must have felt when ushered in there haphazardly, the silence/calm before the storm in the complete darkness, and then compounding infection breakout person by person with no where to run.

Awesome.

It had some great part but the overall movie was just ok to me. Super Zombie didn't help any. The ending made it look like there would be another but it's been years and no word.
