DB Law Down To Three Suitors

Source: Adam Schefter, NFL.com

Original Article: http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/9482866

Summary: The Arizona Cardinals have catapulted themselves into the sweepstakes for cornerback Ty Law. The New England Patriots already were involved in the bidding. But the Kansas City Chiefs also are making another last-minute push, trying to reunite Law with his former head coach Herm Edwards. The Chiefs contacted Law's agent, Carl Poston, weighing in with their newest thoughts on the issue. Poston envisions the process ending in a week to 10 days. It's always possible another team could jump into the fray, but it now looks like it's down to the Cardinals, Patriots and Chiefs.

IMO, things are most serious with the Pats and media outlets here in New England are suggesting that it's almost a done deal.

KC recently sounded like they would let Law sign elsewhere, and Arizona IMO does not sould like they have more than a passing interest.

It being Law, I won't believe anything until the ink dries.

The Kansas City part is just PC stuff. What they will do is offer him something like the Veteran's minimum and expect him to accept it just so he can be reunited with Herm and play for a "winning" team. They are just throwing their name in the race to appease the masses here in KC. They did the same thing last year. Then Carl Peterson will go on the radio and spew his usual "we made a legitimate offer and he declined it for more money elsewhere". I wouldn't get my hopes up for the KC fans out there.

I'm surprised that Seattle is not being mentioned anywhere. I think they have a take it or leave it offer on the table for Law.
