Rumors swirling in cyber space Hawk's groin pull may be a tear.

Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk suffered a groin pull that knocked him out of the game and could be serious. An Internet report said the Packers were concerned that Hawk had suffered a tear, but a source close to Hawk said he didn’t think that was accurate. After the game, Hawk was unsure of the severity and said he wouldn’t know anything until he had tests done today.

Looks like the Packers D is having an injury crisis. What was one of the better Run D's in the league may plunge down the rankings. If Rodgers misses any time a rookie QB won't keep that offense on the field for as long as it has been either.

I would assume Nick Barnett owners will be happy though.

So would White replace AJ Hawk at LB? and would he play full-time or come off in 3rd down situations? Any insight would be helpful

I was thinking Brandon Chillar would replace him, but i could be wrong...I thought Popinga played on run downs and Chillar came in on pass downs and he played special teams....

Brandon Chillar and Desmond Bishop shared snaps after Hawk left the game (early in the 4th quarter). I did see White in once at the goalline. Chillar has the experience, Bishop is the better athlete, you could see more of the same of them splitting time. Not sure if Packers know what they'll do yet.

Any more news on him? I thought I read that he might come back this week (week 9), but can't find anything about it now.
