Ultimately money will tell the Arod in NY story, but does anyone think george is not going to pay.

How about STayrod going to bat for the coach. He has never really been able to get the true yankee fan love. Would this do it.

Personally, i think its time to move on. However theres a lot of love for Joe T round these parts.

You know what, this would be a GENIUS move. Its total win win. If he issues it, and they fire him and he leaves, you actually do what I have figured to be absolutely impossible, you keep and maybe grow the love of the Yankee fans.

If he makes it and they keep Joe and he stays, he's a folk hero and that would really speak volumes with the fans and that would truly be his "yankee moment". One that would actually make him look more impressive than the disappointingly non-commital and tepid Jeter(in regard to Torre's future).

Of course, if his top goal is top dollar, you don't want to close any avenues to yourself so you won't issue this, but I think he could have his cake and eat it too. Its all over NY today that Torre's gone but I feel like its not done. He'll get his biggest dollar ticket here, and he can really look like a standup guy.

that was my thinking. even if didnt make squats worth of a difference, just to publicly let it be knownwould score some points with the pinstripe faithful....that and his 50 homer 150 rbi season

Looks like Mo is trying this approach.

I noticed. Good for him. i dont see what some outsider is gonna come in here and do. baseball coaching is overrated we pay joe for the respect he gets in the clubhouse with a lot of high priced personalties so that they keep they're minds on baseball.

It is time for ARod to move on.

This has not worked in NY..it probably won`t work in the next stop either.
