Was reading a thread, and it came to me. Wonder if this would work or not. Say, for example, it's a pay league with $100 per team. You then set your cap at $100 and begin drafting. No owner is allowed to bid more than what they have remaining from their $100 cap (for example, you can't bid $2 on David Carr if you only have $1 left). Then, after the draft ends, each owner pays only the amount they paid for their team.
This would reward those owners who got the best bang for their buck. It would be great to see a league where the guy who cleans house only used up $50 of his cap space. Not only would he save $50 from the start, but he could talk smack for years to come.
