does anybody know what's up with him?

i'm not saying he's great or anything, but he's a veteran QB who's been quite solid at times. given the state of nfl quarterbacking, i have to think this guy could at least hold a clipboard somewhere.

just yesterday, the jags were warming up todd bouman to possibly replace quinn freaking gray.

the panthers are praying that their 90 year old QB can go each week.

the vikings, with possibly the best running game and best run D in the league, could possibly compete if they had anything resembling a serviceable QB.

i know he looked bad in oakland, but everybody looked bad with art shell's raiders.

just wondering if anyone knows what this guys up to.

yea i agree... i really don't believe he's starting caliber.... but he caught a really bad rep with the raiders... everybody wrote him off, meanwhile he was leading the league in getting rushed and sacked.

I've had the same thought this season. I agree with the OP that Brooks was no great shakes but with all the injuries and the QBs that are being started by a few teams this year you would think we might have heard this guy's name mentioned.

Interesting! Think he's being frozen out for his comments from 2 years ago? I can't believe that but it sounds like the guy wants to play. I can't imagine why no one would be interested. In my opinion he's better than Carr at the very least.

His final 2 years really tainted those 2 or 3 years in New Orleans when he looked okay. He looked so inept and lost in the huddle and during play that I think everybody lost confidence in him. He's done as a pro.

i can remember watching him trot off the field after another horrible INT, seeing that goofy, spaced out look on his face and thinking "he has no idea where he is right now or what just happened, does he?"

he just always struck me as not a very bright guy. as a QB that's more important than being an athlete with a rocket arm.

lol Well for what its worth, I remember Elway having that same goofy look when he threw INT's. You nailed it though. Brooks makes bad mental errors, especially in the red zone.

Not too bright, not a good attitude, probably would do more harm than good.

With everything being said here, David Carr, Vinny Testaverde, BROOKS BOLLINGER.

There must be something missing in what we know, because if these three have STARTED games this year in the NFL, Brooks has to be able to find someplace to call home. Heck, Jeff GEORGE is still whispered about at times... Brooks will surface somewhere unless there is, as noted, something we just don't know.

holy hell, after watching Brooks yesterday... uggh.. i'd have to agree that you're probably right.Brooks is on the roster because he played for Childress. he's a smart guy and probably does well as the #3. he shouldn't be playing. no way. maybe Brooks is a drunk? i dunno.
