Aaron Curry (1 Viewer)

Where do people see NFL teams lining up Aaron Curry in their linebacking corps?

Curry played OLB in college but has been reported numerous places that he could play anywhere.

Curry's position of course affects his fantasy value immensely, so where do people see Curry lining up depending on the few places he could end up?

I expect him to be drafted by the Chiefs and be the ILB from day one in the Chiefs new 3-4. If they stay 4-3, then still expect him to play MLB.

Other possibilities....

Browns - ILB next to D. Jackson

Rams - ILB...moving Witherspoon to WLB

Long shot......Detroit Lions...and still see him as a MLB in that defense.

Anyway you cut it, I see him as a ILB on any of those teams. and a fantasy force for years to come.

I think we need to consider where he would be playing for KC too, since they are a very likely landing spot @ #3.

(If Detroit takes Stafford & StLouis a LT to replace Pace)....

He's almost certainly not going to fall out of the top 5 with this year's crop.

I'm not seeing why Cleveland would move Jackson outside and put a rookie who has played outside to MLB. I don't think St. Louis would either.

My guess is he's a Chief, and will be a MLB.

Read my above post.....
I saw that ADP - THANKS. I was just hoping for a few more replies since "some" draft sites had stated they felt Curry "may" stay OUTSIDE & I was just curious if anybody had any local insight into what the Chiefs plans were should they take him (or what the new DC Pendergrast may be thinking of implementing there)....

If he makes it to Cleveland he will play OLB. We are so hurting for a pass rusher it's ridiculous. Jackson will have one of the ILB slots and Beau Bell or Leon Williams will have the other unless we bring someone else in. I for one am praying he falls to 5.

The Browns signed Eric Barton to play inside. Sounds like Curry could play anywhere. It just depends on who drafts him.

i'm not sure he wouldn't play OLB in KC, like in CLE?

STL will run a 4-3 (like spagnuolo did with NYG)... curry probably would play MLB, which would enable the rams to move witherspoon to his more natural WLB position...

I think Curry will also play MLB if the Lions draft him. That's just a hunch based on reading what the locals are saying and reading between the Lions when Schwartz talks about him. I do think he could probably play anywhere in a 4-3 and a 3-4.

That would be better than Detroit fantasy wise. I like KC's d linemen(keeping blockers off hm) a lot better than detroits.

I don't think he will and think Cleveland drafts Orakpo.

I think he goes to Seattle at #4 and he plays OLB, kind of a Julian Peterson-lite.
Peterson is the comparison I made in the 100 - Curry may not play one true position - I agree with the sentiment that he can basically play anywhere in 4-3 or 3-4, which means we could see him all over the place depending on the down, distance, and personnel package. If he was more of a true ILB/MLB only like Willis, I probably would have put him even higher than #9 in my initial rankings.

I think he's more versatile than Julian Peterson - who isn't really a good MLB fit. Curry's position is more dependent on who takes him than most players are, he's so versatile.I don't think he's likely to end up in Seattle with Leroy Hill getting big bucks. 3 high-paid LB's isn't a normal strategy, and it's one reason the 'Hawks dealt Peterson away.If he ends up in Detroit or KC I think he's on the inside more likely.
