Lego League Robotics was perhaps one of the greatest things to happen in my life. I helped mentor a team including my own 2 children for several years. We attained much success in competition, but it was the bonding experience was priceless. Now, I have 2 children in college (one just entering) pursuing engineering degrees. I've spent a lot of money on Legos, and every penny was worth it.
Yeah, my kids love legos. They have huge lego villages set up in the basement as we speak. They are 16, 14, and 12 and play with them all the time.
I have a daughter who is great in math and science who is nuts on Legos. I have practically been begging her to be an engineer. She could write her ticket.
She is also an artist. She is also 12. I still have time.
