Just cruising through the internet and noticed PFT claiming Favre has scheduled a 3PM press conference. If correct, why would he do this???? I speculate....retirment.

KSTP-TV reports that Packers quarterback Brett Favre has called a press conference for 12:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday.

For his sake, I hope so. After watching him get thrashed in that pre-season game, I said to my wife, "It's not too late to retire."

He said he wanted to come back for a competitive team and that's clearly not the case. Now, people are saying Rodgers is looking competent (whatever). Brett is in a lose, lose situation. Cut bait and save what you have left of your body, man! Your "love of the game" can fuel you for only so long. There is no way you can love getting your #### kicked week after week.

people jump the gun about him when he schedules his WEEKLY press conference???? give me a break

what makes this even more hilarious is that at his press conference he said that he's in it for the long haul. He has no regrets coming back and is looking forward to playing the entire season
