The Bears are expected to bench SS Adam Archuleta on Sunday.

Brandon McGowan is expected to start in his place. Archuleta has been struggling in the same areas this season that he did in Washington, which is a surprise because coach Lovie Smith was supposed to have a better idea of his strengths and weaknesses. Ahhh, Czarnecki.

Not saying he won't be right this time -- there was a blurb in the local paper this week stating that the Bears "would not divulge changes to their lineup (referring to their secondary)" that could be read in any number of ways -- but Czarnecki is wrong as often as right on Sunday mornings.

Hate to say it, but I am happy about this move. The Arch was just brutal out on the field.

Ironically, this restores my faith to a degree in Gregg Williams and his staff. I was fearing that they were too :11: to figure out how to use him, as opposed to him having a fatally flawed set of talents.

Anyone know if this benching permanent? I need to know if I have to replace Arch with this McGowan kid.

He seemed to do alright yesterday. I've seen worse games that 6 Tackles.

It would make sense.... he has been burned over and over. He is a liability when teams decide to throw. I have him on my Dynasty IDP league (I picked him up when he was signed by the Bears) but I am confident that even if he finishes the season this year starting that the Bear front office will have a high priority on finding a replacement for him.
