I thought he had some value when TJ was threatening to holdout but now TJ has shown up he's not worth a roster spot. It's too bad, I think he's better than any RB in IND.He looked very good when he played last year.Does he have any value whatsoever stuck behind those 2?
And was alot last season alsoIf TJ gets traded, then he will be very valuable IMO, because now it seems like Benson is banged up
IDK, Bennet was just traded yesterday, and if there is interest by other teams, and the bears get back equal value, then a trade can easily happenAren't we getting to the point where trades become much less and less likely though?
What's wrong with making $500,000 a year or so to workout and practice everyday and make a few plays on special teams on Sundays? Great gig...not every RB is dying to be beat on 25 carries a week.I was suprised he signed a longer term deal this off season..
Can we trade him for the other Adrian Peterson next year?A-Pete is the goods... a solid special teams contributor, and the best third string RB in the NFL.He could be a backup on most teams, and a starter on some...LB Mike Peterson of Jacksonville is his brother.Adrian was also the cat running the bleachers in a Russell Athletics commercial a couple of years ago. He's got a massive stuttering problem too....
Maurice Hicks, Najee Davenport and LenDale White on line 1 for you.And a number of other candidates as well.A-Pete... the best third string RB in the NFL.

I'm a Bears fan and as much as I like Peterson (and love locking him into a longer deal), he's mired behind two backs and will most likely see very little time unless BOTH get injured. Not a good gamble, fantasy wise (assuming a 12-team, 16 man roster situation). That said, next year Peterson will be the 2nd stringer in Chicago and will garner some value. If you got the room in your lineup I would definitely recommend him over some 4th string WR or backup TE.
He'll get top retire at 30 as a millionaire and still have his knees....What's wrong with making $500,000 a year or so to workout and practice everyday and make a few plays on special teams on Sundays? If Peterson is 2nd string next year, which RB gets moved? I think TJ has 2 more years on his contract -- I guess it would make most sense to try to trade him away and keep Benson for the duration of his rookie contact at least. Is that what you're expecting?NatronIsMean said:I'm a Bears fan and as much as I like Peterson (and love locking him into a longer deal), he's mired behind two backs and will most likely see very little time unless BOTH get injured.
