Advice for getting a dog? (1 Viewer)

My wife and daughter researched dog breed that fit our family.  Did some leg work and found a good breeder.  Couldn't be happier.  We have many bleeding heart friends that have rescued and have problems I'd, and they would rather not deal with.

In relation to the eating stuff(assume you are talking furniture/etc): How much training have you attempted, Furls?

You may have went to the pound and picked up the chillest dog there....who up to a week prior had been living in a dumpster and eating every scrap of trash available. :) If you adopt a trash dogTM, but never really teach them to stop being a trash dogTM then you will always own a trash dogTM.
she's getting a lot better, actually

at first she went after everything. hands, toes, shoes, plastic, cats.

vet says her allergies exacerbate her drive to chew. she tries to get after her feet most but if left alone she will get anxious and eat rubber or plastic.

think that throwing up a handful of times has dulled her desire to eat foreign objects. that said, she's not quite 2 and still very excitable but getting lots & lots better with attention and exercise.
