Right now, I would put the Jets slightly ahead with Miami and New England about equal. New England's D looks shaky but could get better as the season goes on. Miami doesn't have a great offense. The Jets are only as good as Sanchez who has played well the last two games. Thoughts?

How in the world does Buffalo score 30 on New England? New England needs a better defense so I'd give the edge to the Jets. I think Miami's D is being exposed a bit tonight....

If sanchez plays like he has the past 2 weeks, the jets are a hard team to beat. Miami is a solid team, but the lack of pass rush (of which the jets have no lack of) is the issue there (also, our latest propensity to use the wildcat to kill drives is no help either). New England can still score in bunches, but their defense is not good, and buf is the doormat.

As a phins fan, I can only hope that Sanchez regresses a little.

Jets are the best team in the division because of their defense I believe. Let's say you take all of the starting Qb's off the teams. You take Brady off of New England, Sanchez off of NY, Henne off of Miami and Fitz off of Buffalo. Who do you think would have the best team?I think the Jets. The one shot the Pats or Dolphins had this year is that if Sanchez didn't take that step forward, that he was a flop and then they wouldn't progress this season. By the looks of it, he has taken that step and it's probably bad news for everyone in that division.BTW, you can say the Patriots are only as good as Brady too.

Brady is critical to the success of the Patriots. They have a very young defense so hopefully they can improve as the season goes on or they will give up 40+ to Green Bay, Indy, and Pittsburgh.Unless Sanchez reverts back to last year, the Jets are the team to beat.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would argue against this but I don't really understand the point. The fact of the matter is those QBs are all on their respective teams and QB is the single most important position in the game. You can't just take it away.I agree that the Jets are looking like the best team in the division right now regardless. The D is still playing at an extremely high level (w/o Revis and Jenkins, overrated?), the oline looks fantastic (nobody is talking about their oline and I have no idea why) and Sanchez has turned around his play the last 2 games (with huge props going to Keller). So long as Sanchez continues to improve or simply plays the way he has the past 2 games NYJ are the most complete team in the division. Mia would be next in line as far as balance goes but I'd still give the edge to NE because they are just too explosive on offense and they have Brady.

Obviously I'm a homer, but I think its the jets. Unfortunately jenkins isn't coming back, but revis, pace and holmes are. That's arguably 3 of their best 6 or 7 players.

Now they just need to avoid the letdown next week against the bills.

The Jets are the best team at the moment...The Dolphins are next and the Patriots are a distant 3rd. The Patriots offense is Superbowl caliber while their defense is one of the worst in the league.

Not the Dolphins.

Until the young D can stop anyone of 3rd a long they'll be bottom feeding with the Bills for the next few years.

I think because it's played like crap. The Slauson experiment has gone miserably so far, and every other lineman has gotten off to a slow start, IMO. I don't know the actual tally, but it feels like the OL has been whistled for about 10 penalties in three games, on top of not being great in pass protection.

Slauson is making th Faneca decision look real bad.....time to give Vlad a chance? Cant wait to see Holmes added to this offense....LT has looked great but I fear they are losing Shohn Greene - they need to use him more IMO

WHOA.... I think you guys are off base a little.... That holding call last night was tick tacky... The Free run at Mark by Ngata was expected and was a miscommunication issue - possibly more Mangold's fault. And bottom line I had a flashback of FANECA right there.

Other than that the entire OL has had issues and Mangold is hurting...

But, come on, How is Faneca looking right now???? I think Slauson is coming along.

NO WAY COULD VLAD PLAY RIGHT NOW though.

I actually thought maybe Rob Turner should spell Mangold in the 4th - He's no Mangold but, he has a mean streak and the OL looked good with him Vs the Pats on the 1 Drive. Some fresh legs could have been a boost.

But, Sheesh, Brick has had breakdowns, Woody has had break downs and Mangold has had issues..... There's LOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go till we declare Slausson a failure....

I'm fine with the move - That's how you grow as a team. If Faneca was here people would probably be chanting for Slauson or Vlad.

Another Bottom line - The Jets played 3 Pretty good / tricky Pass rush defenses so far.....

Penalties are one thing but, straight up OL play I can't complain 1 bit.

Outside of the Balt game, I think the oline has looked very good. Balt handed it to them pretty good, but the oline play has certainly been critical in the last 2 games.
