"Ah, Man" (1 Viewer)

I've always said, punching your teammates is just a gateway drug that leads to punching your own fans.

"Blount refused to cooperate with police..."

What an idiot.

Maybe I should start factoring in character when I draft my dynasty players.

Blount, Britt, DeSean, Little...

http://www.tampabay.com/news/publicsafety/crime/police-report-running-back-legarrette-blount-led-attack-on-bucs-fan/1205018Reached by the St. Petersburg Times by phone Tuesday afternoon, Blount refused to comment except to say, "Ah, man."
Might have been nice if you had also included the sentence before the one you quoted:
Blount, 25, was not charged in the September 11 incident, nor was he accused of any direct violence.
>>>The victim told police he feared he had a broken nose because he was spitting blood. He "also stated that his jaw is misaligned and he believes his jaw bone is swollen or displaced because he cannot chew food because his teeth no longer line up,'' according to the police report. After the crash, Blount's sister called police to report a hit-and-run accident and to get auto insurance information on the other driver. She told police that her brother was driving her Expedition. When police inspected the pickup, a detective thought the damage to the windshield looked "very peculiar." The officer noted that "it appeared as if someone did a cannon ball into the windshield at the driver side of the window." The officer further noted the damage was the "size of a grown man's rear end." Police decided that damage could not have happened during a crash. The report said police did not pursue possible charges of "burglary for the purpose of committing battery, felony battery and felony criminal mischief'' at the request of the victim. The victim "feared that by pursuing his attackers he would be putting himself in danger.''<<<

And he still hasn't been charged with anything.

Star football player not charged in his hometown? Never heard of that before.LSU had a similar incident. The players were not charged right away. But eventually they were. Always wondered how a guy with his talent was not drafted, why TEN would cut him, and why teams like the Saints in need of RBs at teh time wouldn't make a claim on him.

Fun to talk about, though!

I don't by the guys story that he was trying to pull far enough away not to block traffic. Sounds like a hit and run to me. Now, i don't think he deserves to be beaten for breaking a mirror off however, he does not sound like he is completely innocent.

He wouldn't be charged in any town if the victim won't bring charges and there are no witnesses. This was almost 3 months ago, if there were going to be charges filed, they probably would have been done so by now.

I agree about that - but he hit the mirror on the 05 Expedition? So they cut him off and one guy proceeded to beat him to a bloody pulp while another guy jump through his windshield, all while Blount did what again?= Future Lawsuit.

Sure looks like it. Between his throwing backup QB Josh Johnson under the bus for the stacked 8 in the box defense this weekend, and the local pundits arguing till their blue in the face that Blount is getting the QB killed because he doesn't block or care to learn how to block, they really need a more versatile back. Earnest Graham is far more valuable if less of a breakaway runner than Blount, because he can serve as a 3 down back. Blount can't catch a cold and is a wussy when it comes to laying it out there picking up blitzes. Add to that he is too dumb to just keep quiet or do stupid things like be part of a fan ambush. Yeah, his shelf life is about up. I'd be surprised if the new head coach is going to put up with a one trick pony like Blount next year.

True, I missed that part about it happening in September. Thanks.

They stopped him from leaving the scene of an accident and acted in self defense as the driver of the truck was actively trying to run them over.

I know a RB who would interest fans, went to HS in the state of FL, and is forecasted as a top 10 pick that would fit quite nicely here.

In "self-defense"? Leaving the scene? Ok.I guess the police failed to take that into account in not filing charges too. And the St. Pete Times missed a fact or two.

What's been wrong with Little?Bad hands is not a character issue. He's been an excellent teammate and hard worker.
Accepting money, gifts, trips, and having a tutor do your classwork for you, while in college, could be considered a character flaw.

I take you, or noone close to you was on a full ride. That's part of the gig, my friend. Part of the gig.

"When this guy found out who he was,'' Morgan continued, his attorney called the Bucs and asked for $95,000 in compensation and warned that if that was not forthcoming, the attorney would go public. Morgan said the request was rejected.
Blount is not innocent in this but this guy is no angel either.

I take it you, or someone close to you, has the same character flaw then.
Has it affected his year in Cleveland? Nope.I say the NCAA has a bigger characted flaw for exploiting these players bringing in billions of dollars.

If you consider me letting a good looking girl take care of some of my school work as well as catering to my extracurricular needs, then yes... I am flawed. Very.Flawed.
