Ahmad Bradshaw and the Giants OL (1 Viewer)

Bradshaw has been pretty bad these last few weeks. I knew they had their C out but thought he was coming back.

What's the dealio here? Is the OL the problem? Was it just an aberration? Is Jacobs a threat? Is Nicks and Smith being out going to help or hurt the running game?

TIA

I think the giants are screwed on offense for the time being. Between the injuries and the turnovers, I dont care who they are playing. they aint starting for my team, but thats just me

The Giants have no choice but to lean on the running game for the next few games. Plus outlet passes to the RBs. Sounds like this gives Bradshaw more touches than he's been getting.

Their O-line is, and will continue to get healthy over the next few weeks. One thing can be said for sure, the Giants have no choice but to run the ball a lot over the next few weeks. The real question for Bradshaw is, will he start to lose carries because of his fumbling problem? No doubt he is a better runner, receiver and blitz blocker than Jacobs, but if he keeps turning it over Coughlin is going to have no choice.

They ran into a revitalized Dallas team that they were expecting to beat. So they got caught there. Eagles run defense is actually better than most people think. I wouldn't worry about Bradshaw.

Good info but anyone have details on the injured interior o-linemen of the Giants? Homers?

I'm still concerned about Bradshaw and thinking hard about benching him for Tolbert @ IND.

I don't like this for Bradshaw or Eli for fantasy teams that have been successful with these guys this year. The hit to Eli is obvious. For Bradshaw, this is a guy that the team said publicly earlier in the year that they were concerned about in regards that he might not be able to hold up with a heavy carry load. And now its complicated by his fumbling and the O-line being banged up. I have a feeling this is going to run the Giants into the ground and really hurt their season.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see over the next 3 weeks or so that Jacobs becomes more involved out of necessity and the numbers for Bradshaw become a lot tougher to maintain. His job simply got a lot harder now. And Eli is, well, I think I have seen this play out before. I don't like him down the stretch for the Giants nor my FF team.

Well this is great news

SigmundBloom RT @MikeGarafolo: Brandon Jacobs will start this week over Ahmad Bradshaw, Coughlin said. Fumbles the reason

If fumbles are the reason than why start Jacobs. Coughlin is a moron. :lmao: Yea bench the guy who was leading the NFC in rushing over AP till a few weeks ago cause he had some fumbles. How about you try to correct it. You did for Tiki. Don't see that being implemented. Plus the one fumble he had against Philly, he had 2 hands on the ball and just got ripped out while he was stood up. Whats he supposed to do? I hope the giants lose every game from here on out.

Diehl & O'Hara didn't practice today. Diehl is the healthier of the 2, and if he's cleared by Sunday he'll play at LG. Diehl is still considered the starting LT, but I think the move of Andrews to LT and Diehl to LG is permanent as long as Andrew's bad back allows him to play.

LT Beatty is back and can fill in if Andrew's were unable to play. The big problem is at that LG spot with Diehl out, they use Boothe (been on PUP till a week or 2 ago) and Petrus (rookie). With rusty and inexperienced guys getting put in, penalties have increased and the Giants haven't had success running to the left.

Not the exact resoning I had in mind but with Jacobs now being name the starter; at least in token appointment, this looks bleaker and bleaker for Eli and Bradshaw. It also doesn't seem to be remarkedly improving with the line issues. Owners of these two have their work cut out for them the rest of the way.
