Alex Smith vs Tenn (the 25th ranked pass defense)

Andrew Luck vs Minnesota (third ranked pass defense)

Andy Dalton vs Pittsburgh (21st ranked pass defense, but likely w/out A.J. Green)

Crazy as it sounds, at the moment, I’m leaning towards Alex Smith.

I don’t think it’s crazy at all.

He’s been solid this year, but far from spectacular. Throw in all the injuries and he doesn’t seem like a great start at all this week, but thanks for the feedback!

I'm not saying Luck is a top-5 lock or anything like that. If AJ Green were 100% maybe there would be an argument for Dalton, but he's not and Alex Smith sucks, so Luck seems like by far the best option. I just think you'd really be kicking yourself if you started a mediocre to bad QB just because he had a slightly better matchup.
