Algae Crumpler (1 Viewer)

I dont, I think his numbers will stay the same or improve, Harrington will try to unload the ball to him more.

I think the biggest issue for him is his health at this point...

it just doesn't sound like he is healthy, although he did finally see some preseason action last game...

Also, Harrington isn't known for utilizing his TEs much...

Det TEs were pretty useless with Harrington, IIRC...

COmbine that with the knee issues, and I stayed away from Crumpler in all my leagues this year...

How could Harrington not use Crumpler? I'm glad he is dropping because a huge player with great hands has to be targeted.

In all seriousness, I would not expect the change at QB to affect Crumpler's numbers, but the injury may be worrisome.

If he is healthy, he is a very good fantasy TE.

Harrison is going to throw to whom he is told. He doesnt write the playbook. If Petrino wants him throwing to Crumpler, Harrington will do just that. Just because Miami didnt have him throwing to McMichael last year or previously in DET, it doesnt mean Petrino will follow the same path. Sides, Crumpler is a better pass catching TE anyways.

Harrington is a BIGTIME upgrade at QB for fantasy purposes in Atlanta. Just look at the studs he produced in Miami last season... oh wait nevermind.

I disagree...You can create an offense that utilizes TEs, but if your QB isn't comfortable throwing TE routes (TEs don't run WR routes, obviously), then you are going to see either bad passes to TEs or 2nd and 3rd read passes to WRs...

Plus, Harrington is pretty awful...

I'm not saying Crumpler has zero value, just that with as many question marks as there are around him, I passsed on drafting him...

he seemed to love them in college. i think the pro systems that he has been in don't use their TEs as much.

That's possible...I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on the nuances of the Lions offense of the Harrington years...

I am leaning towards Chris Cooley this year.

Al Saunders has already said he is going to use Cooley like he used Gonzo in KC..that has to be good news.
