Alien invasion in California? Or just a "missile test"? (1 Viewer)

To piggyback off of TIS' point, how far can you see in the sky? Meaning if I'm standing in Chicago, assuming clear skies and no buildings in my way, can I see an object directly over Milwaukee if I look north and the object is big enough and bright enough?
They launch rockets from the Eastern Shore of VA and when they do, they let everyone know that if they look to the sky, they'll see the rocket. The alert goes out to people on a map like this. So... pretty far.

That's neat, thanks.

If the illegal aliens are coming over in missiles things have really gotten out of hand. I prefer the old school illegal aliens who simply walked across the border.

WTF? I've never gotten this. Is it only for weather nerds or retired wrestlers?

I think the company that launches them posts them on their site, but, yes, on my weather nerd sites, these get posted all of the time. :nerd:

I don't know. How far away are the stars?

The determining factor would be how far above Milwaukee the object is. The closer to Milwaukee, the harder for you to see it from Chicago.

Yeah I get that. I'm talking about something like a missle (Sheik covered that).
