All the Tackles in the NFL (1 Viewer)

I'm gonna try to get an early start this year on ranking O-lineman. I'd like to get the first edition done before Free Agency.

I realize that guys play multiple positions, but let me know if I forgot anyone

This is a good list, Chris, thanks for putting it together. I did read today where the Raiders were going to keep Gallery at Guard. They say he played well and stayed healthy this season.

Floyd "Porkchop" Womack - Seattle

plays wherever needed, started at LT against Atlanta

I put him here because he can play Tackle, but I'm gonna list him at Guard too. I think this might help my depth and versatility rankings this year. I really didn't take into account a guy being able to slide over and simply looked at the listed back-ups last year. That being said everyone, please tell me if any of the listed tackles above have played any other position as I might miss that later.

Thanks to all of the above for posting, I hope to reward everyone with a better list of rankings this year.

Other than taking into account players playing multiple positions, I plan to try to factor in a fit to the current blocking scheme ie... is he a zone blocking guy going to a team that doesn't zone block or visa versa. If I get really motivated, I might come up with my own o-line dominator. When a lineman gets hurt, you could generate the best line available with the remaining players and see what and where the drop-off is. Also this year, I'm gonna try to grade all tackles against each other and the same with the guards in both pass blocking and run blocking and a few other categories and then rank them by which side of the ball they play. That way there won't be as big of a drop off between the 21st best run blocker and the 22nd ect... and you'll be able to see the effects of a guy sliding over better. I wanted to try and rank defensive front sevens this year too, but I don't think I'll have the time based on want I want to do with the offensive line rankings this year

Roman Oben is no longer attached to the San Diego roster. Shane Olivea is no longer starting, but still plays T for them.

Stacy Andews played a lot of RT for the Bengals this year... wouldn't suprise me if they resign him if Anderson retires.

bumped.

I should probably explain better. If they played tackle at all for your team in any game this year, they should be on this list.

Thanks to all that replied so far. Or like Despyzer pointed out, even though he didn't play at Tackle he's listed as a Tackle.

Will Whittacker's been gone from Washington since mid-August. Otherwise, you're spot on with the Redskins' Tackles (Fabini's been playing RG though, for the first time in his career).

Marshall Yanda (Baltimore) - 6'3" 310 Rookie DOB: 09/15/1984

He's listed as a Guard/Tackle on the ravens' roster page so maybe that's why you missed him, but he spent most of his time at RT this year, starting a good number of games there.

I'm not sure where you got that list, but you might want to expand your search to look for similar "guard/tackle" listings.

I started with somebody else's list and went trolling from there. I figure you homers can name the obscure guys off the top of your heads though. :lmao: BTW Yanda was a guy I was high on last year, but I didn't see him play much. What's your opinion?
