Alshon Jeffery or Amari Cooper? (1 Viewer)

Working on draft strategy for a 12-team keeper league.  As each team keeps 4 players, the draft doesn't really correspond to regular ADP.  I'm looking at drafting Amari Cooper or Alshon Jeffery in Round 2.

Without going into detail overload, I'll have Devonta Freeman (keeper) and an RB1 with my first round pick (looking like Melvin Gordon, Dalvin Cook, Leonard Fournette should all be around my pick #8).  My WR keepers are Juju and Cooper Kupp, so I'd like to add a receiver who could be a WR1.  In my position, Alshon and Cooper should be available in the snake-reverse Round 2.

I'm leaning toward Cooper based on upside.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I think Cooper has the higher ceiling and lower floor.  Alshon will be the safer pick but I don't think his upside is much lower than Cooper.  Alshon's risk is his injury history.  Barring that I think he puts up a solid year.   So it really comes down what you prefer:  More Risk/Higher Reward or Safer with a slight bump in upside.

For me, I would go with Alshon fairly easily.

I'd go with Alshon also. Cooper is a total coin toss. Just my opinion but trying to project a pick in the second round rarely succeeds especially with so many keepers, someone better either falls to you or your targets get snagged ahead of you. Run a bunch of mocks and look at the variability.

Cooper and not close for me. Jeffery is already expected to miss training camp and more while recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Plus Jeffery played all 16 games last year and didn't even break 800 yards receiving.

Cooper for me between those two but neither is a fantasy WR1. They're both WR2-3 as far as fantasy value is concerned.
