This is getting scary! When did David Ortiz jump in A-Rod's body? 10 homers and 26 RBI in 14 games! Walk off today, pure sickeness brewing in the bronx!!!! 2 out, nobody on, down by 4, good god!!!!

Oh yeah, 14 game hit streak, an extra base hit in 13 of them!!!

So every Yankee fans loves him now.

Can't wait until he starts to tank and the boo-birds come back out. Jesus, Yankee fans are just as worse as the Philly fans.

Not true, New York offers redemption based on performance, once you get in the Philly Doghouse, you never escape. They booed Schmidt, who is roughly equivalent to being their Jeter, enough said.

 Stop it. I visited Yankee stadium when Jeter was being booed mercilessly.

It doesn't sound right sure..... but then it's Yankee and Philly fans we are talking about here. Does it have to? :lmao: Anyway, it's just April. The Yankees should be winning more games than what they have at this point IMO.

true

They boo poor performance and cheer good performance. I actually think it's a very nice merit based system they have going on there. It's definitely better then the lemmings who booed Cal Ripkin just for showing up each day.

Uh, exactly. But Jeter is a god basically, because his performance rebounded, as did A-Rod's this year. I know Philly people who still have a chip on their shoulder about Michael Jack and you are talking about probably the greatest third baseman to ever play. What would be more apprirate, to sit on our hands through what A-Rod is doing now? It is honestly a feel good story to watch him, because you could see those pressure situations eating him up last year, and now you can see in his face he's ready to rise to them. His ultimate eptiaph will be written come post-season, but he should have a season's worth of leash already and Yank fans off his back. With that sort of pressure relieved, its crazy to think what he could do.

Can anyone explain why the Indians don't walk him in that situation? Up one, passed ball makes it 1-0 with runners on second and third. A-Rod's run it totally meaningless, he's the hottest hitter in baseball right now, and first base is open. I don't care if Babe Ruth is on deck, you walk A-Rod.

Eric Wedge should be fined a game check.

I changed my mind. Everyone should walk him on every at bat.

From last years Yankees- Red Sox thread. Bizzump

Did you expect anything different there?
 FU I hate you Yankee fans who boo ARod if he doesnt get a hit every time.
Hey, Shady, I've not like him since we got him. When he hits when it matters, come back and talk to me. Where was that pitch to Manny?
Yeah cuz all his HRs and RBIs and stats and his MVP award he put up last year didnt matter. Please your such a loser

This is unreal. Dude is in a Bonds-like trance.

Also..this "Yankees fans don't deserve him" thing is about the dumbest, hater fueled rally cry I've ever seen. "He's a Yankee, and he's got purple lips and slaps the ball from people's glove, so I don't like him. But he gets booed even though he's really good so it gives me a reason to dislike the fans too. This way, if he plays well, I can say 'the fans suck'...and if he plays bad I can say 'he sucks'. Either way, I will be able to try to stick it to Yankee fans."

Dumb.

I was commenting on his grammar, but whatever. Personally, I don't like they guy but he's a great player. He's going to break the single season mark for HR's this year without the assistance of illegal substances. It's exciting.

Any chance he hits a 100?

What kind of new, sick torture is this? ARod gets close and I'll be forced to cheer for a ...gulp...Yankee.Bonds sucks that much.

 I'm certainly not the biggest A-Rod fanI certainly do loathe the Yankees, but it would be great for the game.
FYP and also, I think A-Rod is one heck of a special player. I'd love to see him walk outta NY after this year. They don't deserve him.

I'm only half kidding here

An awful loss tonight, but A-Rod may be getting hotter. Two homers, a laser double on a line to left, an out to the centerfield warning track.

On the Deserveability scale, I think Royals fans deserve him, followed by Pirates fans, and then Ham Fighters fans.

4 games with the D-Rays, could be a big weekend. He tags one tonight, thats 13 in 18 games for those scoring at home. 18 game hit streak this season to boot.
